Hazy golden with a lasting white head. Mild herbal hoppy aroma with a wooden note. Sweet malty flavour with herbal, grassy and wooden hops, and a nice bitter finish

Thanks to quack-duck for that one. Bottle looks good. Beer in the glass not too zippy, small head. Starts mild, modest smokey, fine malty. Mild, but not washy. Finish less smokey, a bit wheaty. Quite drinkable. Nice!

Bottle at klub Malych pivovaru. Essentially the same label as in the picture but with a curious detail that this version is brewed at zatec brewery, interesting given that the blurb makes reference to the use of zatec hops. Anyways, in this case it must be the first Czech common. Alas, pretty dull yellow colour with no head; some wet cardboard in the nose; flat and composty

33cl bottle. Pours golden with gentle bubbles and a good head. The nose has pale malt with a lemon note. The taste has more pale malt with lemon and something herbacious too. The palate is light to medium in body and texture with a clean finish. Overall, this is easy drinking but not that exciting.

A birthday present from the lovely lady at The Rake. Not sure whether it was intended as a birthday gift (she doesn’t know me) but I’ll pretend she meant it with love. Although perhaps as the beer isn’t the best, there wasn’t too much love in it. Besides, I’m happily married. And she has a fella who seems like a top bloke. So no thanks love, not possible. Anyway, aroma of cat piss and litter trays. Flavour certainly improves and it’s quite drinkable, a little grainy for me but it’s ok.

Bottle. Clear, lightly bubbly gold with a fine, creamy head. Cereal, corn and grain nose, with some floral hops. Lightly sweet, more grains and faint bitterness. Light to medium in body with fine, creamy carbonation. Finishes crisp and clean, malty with plenty of cereal, light toast, faint earth and flowers. Really a nice beer.

Bottle. Golden, thin and with a disappointing body.Pretty uninspiring especially as their other brews have tried were quite interesting.
