Scubatrip (310), Winston-Salem, North Carolina, USA Oct 8, 2007 From the bottle, courtesy of Secret Santa, pours a clear, amber orangish color, decent foamy white head, nice lacing. Very pungent aroma, fruity, rainsins, really strong. Taste is equally strong, very fruity, almost raspberries, a bit tart. I wouldn’t have guessed this is a bock in a blind tasting, rather a fruit beer. Not my favorite.
notalush (1967), Rawn-kawn-kohma, New York, USA Jun 6, 2008 Clear honey-colored beer, with a fizzy, short-lived head - aroma of honey, wildflowers, aromatic hops, a little bit of dough - starts off a bit sweet and herbal, like sweetened herbal tea - a bit of hops and flowers arrive afterwards - a mild nutty flavor - gets a little spicy at the end - thins out a little in the finish, so the sweetness becomes a bit much - a decent maibock, though - certainly under-rated. jjpm74 (2722), Connecticut, USA Jan 28, 2008 Bottle courtesy of alexsdad06. Pours copper with a dissipating white head. Smells of biscuits and fruit. Tastes of caramel with some sweet malt. Mouthfeel is full with a spicy finish. Lowe1983 (722), Fairborn, Ohio, USA Jan 9, 2008 Pours a brownish-amber color with an off-white head. Aroma is of caramel malts, floral hops, nuts, and dark fruits.Flavor is sweet up front with the caramel and toasted malts. Finish is dry with dark fruits and a little floral hops. Probiere (992), Iowa, USA Dec 17, 2007 Courtesy Amy. An...interesting beer. Very fruity, with some berry and melon notes, also biscuity malt. Did not notice much alcohol flavor. Definitely sweet witha sticky finish. I can’t quite decide if I like the flavor combination or not.
