12oz bottle. Mostly clear pale orange color, nearly no head. Moderate crisp carbonation, but something sharp about the texture.. A bit chalky, maybe. Impressive malt / hop balance and presence, for a lager, though. Nice slightly tart bit of sweet taste, too. Good flavor, weird body.

This is a weak offering from Wooden Shoe. Pours a dark honey with miniaml fast-disappearing head and no lace. It starts like a typical big box beer, with malt adjuncts and heavy carbonation. Not much flavor until the finish, when my bottle took an unexpectedly sour turn. No way on seconds.

Pours a golden color with a white head. Aroma has some earthy tones and some hay. Flavor is light with the earthy tones and hay. Slight hint of some citrus hops.

Bottle. I didn’t get any of the buttery notes from other folks. I had more softly sweet malt and caramel. Maybe because we get it fresh since its right up the road?

Bottle:   Dark straw, slightly cloudy, moderate foamy white head, nice lacing.   Pale dusty and barnish malt aroma.   Similar on the tongue.   Has a stale aspect about it, perhaps wet newspaper.   Seems to have a bit of sweetness that lends itself well to this one.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Lingering cardboardy musty grassiness.   Not as bright as I would have hoped.   Not a bad beer tho, maybe over the hill?   Thanks Jeff for the bottle!

Discovered this brew in the cross roads of america in ohio in a small bar and wondered why a place like this could get a international brewed beer. Much to my surprise, it is actually made in Ohio. Wow!. Not a bad beer, had it for lunch accompanying a sandwich and it went down pretty smooth. Smooth enough that I had another. It’s nice to know that we in america can still do a few things correct, like brewing a good, not wonderful beer

I still am not sure why I grabbed this other than it’s from Ohio and I have not tried any of their beers yet. After sampling two or three I doubt I will get any others unless I am desperate. This is a bland, boring, and predictable product that is almost not worth the bottle it is held in. Thank goodness I had someone to split it with as even six ounces was more than enough.

Aroma / Appearance - The hazy bronze body was general enough to not give clues one way or the other about the contents. The nose was a different story. Inoffensive and dull it smelled like a bowl of golden grahams with fresh milk.

Flavor / Palate - Peanut butter on toasted white bread is the best feature of this vague and bland experience. Because there is no flavor there is nothing to be "off". However, this also means there is nothing to enjoy. This is as close to alcoholic water as you can get. Even factoring in the style it falls flat on its face.

As far as the style goes this is actually pretty good. Aroma was strong on the pilsner malt with a grassy light hoppiness to it. Pour was a flat light gold with no head or bubbles. Taste was weird. A little hops in the front, then a rush of pale pilsner malt. Strong biscuity sweetness overpowers the beer up until the sticky sweet aftertaste. Hardly any carbonation make this beer a tad boring. Meh
