Clean fresh arome, no bad olfactories. A bit darker and more cloudy than your typical pale lager. Has an initial sharp hop bite that is dull then fades as the swigs continue. Even adds to the citrusy backbone. Decent mount of CO2 but not above average. Finish is not bad, almost friendly. Yes these low % beers really let their characteristics show thru.

Bottle: The aroma consists of light fruit, grain, caramel, and a hint of lemon. It pours a hazy orangish-yellow with lots of very fine sediment and a quarter inch white head that fades to a soapy film. The flavor starts lightly fruity with a touch of caramel. The finish is lightly grainy with some hints of grass and lemon. Light-medium bodied with mild carbonation.

Bottle. Golden to orangish colored pour with little to no head. Malty with a nice bitter sweet finish. Not too bad.

The people behind this beer handed out bottles at the RBSG Grand Tasting for people to bring home and taste. Apparently it’s connected with a restaurant and has been picked up by Elevator Brewing. Pours a crystal clear golden color with a large white frothy head. Good head retention and lacing. The aroma is nutty and grainy with some faint corn-like notes. The taste is similar... nutty and grainy with some faint grapes, green apple and other fruits. Bitter hop finish. Medium bodied. Pretty decent.

Pours a dingy gold with a small head and aromas of dusty grains and sweet maltiness. Flavor is grainy and sweet... kind of a honey and caramel malt presence with a little bit of grain silo dust and pear to fill things out. Not particularly bad, but not really enticing, either.

Dogbrick (4531) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - MAY 30, 2010
UPDATED: JUN 1, 2010 Sample at the 1st annual Columbus Beerfest on 05/28/10: The beer is a mostly clear orange-amber color with a thin off-white head that dissipates quickly. Short strings of lacing. Touches of piney hops and fruit in the nose. Light body with flavors of toasted malt, mild hops, pine and fruit. The finish is fruity with a short mildly hopped aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.

Bottled. Doesn’t look much different than the Bock, hazy and orange-gold. Very sweet aroma, almost lemon cookie-ish. But it drinks much smoother, biscuity, lightly hopped, ending with a nice sweet finish. Quite drinkable. (#3634, 8/8/2009)

Golden with a rocky white head. malts with very light hops, sweet, and mildly fruity aroma. Little hops in the flavor, but ends with a sharp, but quick, bitter finish. Fruity, sweet malts, and light herbal hops round it out. A decent brew.
