COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask: Regular. Also Bottle Conditioned.
Originally the house beer for Limes Hotel in Fakenham.
Ingredients: Maris Otter; Crystal malt; Goldings hops.
A full-bodied pale amber beer with the rich flavour of Dundee cake. Sultana fruitiness is balanced by a hoppy bitterness, to give a full, but light feel. The finish continues to develop into a warm, mellow glow

Cask Pint at Edward Rayne (JDW), Raynes Park, London in June 2013 - Deep Amber in colour. Very Fruity; citrus orange, sultanas. Malty; toasty malts, caramel. Hoppy; grassy hops. Smooth. Well balanced. Sweetish fruity malty throughout with a dry bitter hop finish. Decent.

Bottle from Marks & Spencer under the name of Norfolk Bitter. Poured a hazy chestnut colour with a white head which dissipated very rapidly. Malt heavy aroma, with some sweet nuttiness and brown sugar with some grassy hop. Initial flavours of flat malt, bitter citrus and wet grass. Finish was mild resinous.

Train rate. Bottle from marks and Spencer. Aroma is caramel, apple, sea weed. Flavour is salty, caramel, apple, nutty malt. Some fishy and metalic notes. Palate has a carbonation bite and pretty thin. Pretty shit.

Bottle from Marks & Spencer called Norfolk Bitter to be specific! Copper-amber in colour and no head. It’ has a good pale ale nose with a fruitiness, although much less stated in taste. Has a decent medium to full body.

Bottle from the M&S at Waterloo station near platforms 16-19 to be fucking specific, drank on the train home from a paper cup and labelled as M&S Norfolk Bitter as you’d expect, cheers to JF 12/11/13. Chestnur brown with a moderate beige head. Nose is toffee, dark fruit, cake mix, prunes, brown sugar. Taste comprises dark malt, sweet brown bread dough, dates, toffee. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, dry finale with sweet and bitter tones. Decent enough bitter.

500ml Bottle ftom M&S - named Norfolk Bitter. A nice, dark ale with a hoppy nose. Slight taste of toffee and malt with citrus overtones. Would go well with crisps or nuts.

Bottle conditioned as M&S Norfolk Bitter. Pours a hazy dark amber with a medium white head which doesn’t last very long. Nose is citrus, apricots and candied fruit, biscuity malt. Bitter. Dry finish. Really good.
