COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle conditioned; Special.
A limited release (2400 bottles) special edition released in 2011 to celebrate the brewery’s 30th anniversary. Matured in oak barrels.
NOTE: As at December 2011, the regular version (not matured in oak barrels) was not in production. Whether it reappears in 2012 remains to be seen.

Bottle on the train to Belgium for Paul’s "Stag Do", courtesy of Bunce - how he landed this gem I’ll never know! Pours cloudy black-brown with a medium, beige foam head and a bit of sediment. Dark ripe fruits in the nose, with some caramel, grapes, dates and raisins. medium sweet flavor with some tasty bread, a bit of dry and dark fruits, some burnt wood and earth. medium to full bodied with fine, smooth carbonation. Light dry finish with moderate roast, some dark fruits, warmth, lightly burnt wood, candi sugar, and mild earthy bitterness. Pretty solid.

Bottle 2263 of 2700 from Kris Wines Dark brown with a fluffy, light beige head. Vinous aroma with light toffee, salty licorice and notes of boiled vegetables. Salty licorice and dark toffe in the flavour along with some tobacco. Surprisingly light malt-body, though still pretty sweet.

Bottle at Papsø’s - Thanks. Clear brown - white head. High malty, dark bread, roasted, vineous, alcoholic, wooden, bubblegum, candy notes, perfumed, caramel, bread notes. A bit wierd.

Bottle at Papsø. Clear red-brown coloured with a medium sized beige head. Sweet and fruity aroma of caramel, dried fruits and oak. Sweet and fruity flavour of caramel, dried fruits and hops. Fruity and hoppy finish.

Bottled. A dark red beer with a brown head. The aroma has notes of malt, alcohol, wood, and phenols. The flavor is sweet with notes of phenols, alcohol, wood, malt, and caramel, leading to a dry finish.

Bottle at Papsø. Slight hazy brown with an orange hue and a small beige head. Aroma has notes of oak, dark fruits and a little tartness. Big flavored beer, medium sweet, medium bitter balanced nicely, with burned caramel not and an oaky, drying finish. Oily finish, soft carbonation.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of madmitch76. Bottle # 1239/2700. Pours a clear deep orangey brown with a smallish beige head. Lovely oaky aroma with a tart edge of overripe fruit. Medium body, dark dried fruit, burned caramel and again heavy oak. Very delicious. 120412
