3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 tombyars (1205) - Saltcoats, SCOTLAND - MAR 12, 2012
Tasted this golden ale in the Last Post, Paisley (JDW) in April 2010. Cask, handpump dispense. Excellent appearance with crystal clear orange amber colouration and a thick creamy white head. Floral hops evident in the short aroma. Thin but refreshing mouthfeel and good lacing throughout. Pale malts give succulent lychee fruit notes with a delicate hint of elderflowers. Dry hop resins come through in the well balanced aftertaste and this continues through into the finish. An ok summer session ale that is both light and refreshing. Well recommended.
