Hazed straw yellow with a medium white crown. Butter up front with corn, sweet malt, wheat, black pepper and yeast. Taste of wheat, butter, yeast and black pepper. Buttered saison.

12 oz. bottle with Woodman’s generic label but with "Popcorn Lager, brewed with popcorn and butter" printed on neck ring . Color is the palest straw yellow I’ve ever seen and slightly hazy, with a small white head and no lacing. Aroma is that of smoked shrimp, with a bit of lemon and floral hops, but no popcorn or butter. Taste is slightly bitter, with thin body and very lively carbonation. Easily drinkable, and much better than macro-lagers. The smoked shrimp flavor was a present surprise in this random grab from a huge grocery store’s M&M 6-pack shelves. If it’s around Madison the next time I pass through, I’ll try this novelty lager again. Easily drinkable, obscure, and bizzarre.
