Available from July through the summer, Fuchsia Perfect is a 4.3% ABV beer brewed in honour of the very first TV gardener, Percy Thrower, the former Shrewsbury Parks Superintendent. We have brewed Fuchsia Perfect with traditional Fuggles hops and crystal malt and demand has been so strong that, for the first time, we are bottling it as well as selling it on draught.

(on bottle, thanks Yngwie and Gunnfryd) Rustyred and no head. Very sweet and malty for an UK ale. Some fruit as in grapes. Waterish and sourfresh, without being a bad batch. Got some herbs in the finish, subtle though. Really hit the spot for me at the tima I had it at thewolfs gianttasting.

Bottle @ thewolf tasting.
[thank you Yngwie/Gunnfryd]
Pours a hazy yellowish amber with a small film head. Aroma is soft, some caramel and little flowery hops and some apples. Very low carbonation, thin and watery. Flavour has soft hops, light caramel. Somehow the wholeness is better than all the parts!?

500ml bottle picked up at Centra, Colosseum in Oslo. Hazy, amber body. Low-level head. Very moderate aroma of hops and malts. Dry hops and sweet caramel dominates the tasting. Firm hop bitterness in the ending. Could be a great session beer (enjoyed at home, 24.11.2007).

Bottle. Hazy, reddish amber with a small head. Fruity hop nose. Solid fruity bitterness, good caramel base. Quite good.

500ml bottle @ Cardinal. A bit hazy orange to red body with a small beige head. Big floral hoppy aroma, citrus, apple and hay. Flavor is malty I addition to the expected hops, fruity and a bit spicy. OK, this might be a bit one dimensional – but this beer IS summer and flowery meadow. It makes me happy and I want more.

500 ml bottle. Light brown, a bit murky. Sweet and rather one dimensional malty. A little hoppy tone in the finish, but this was not up to much.

500 ml bottle. Light brown colour. Clear. Small coarse greyish head. Apple aroma with some soap. Soft malts with a somewhat sharp hoppy edge. Not really bitter, but rather very green and oily. Mellow flavours with some malts without character and a light crisp hoppy flavour. A bit dull, but quite refreshing. I can images this beer doing better on cask than in the bottle.

Medium white head does not last. Hazy red-brown body. Harmonic aroma of caramel, metal, and floral hops with fruity notes. Dry, fruity caramel and wood taste, kind of watery. Aftertaste is very similar with herbal notes. Very nice. (0.5l bottle from Centra.)

UPDATED: AUG 24, 2007 500 ml bottle. Small near-whithe coarse head quickly fading to a thin layer of big-bubbled foam. Slight misty copper-brown colored body. Not very aromatic, but gives off pleasant whiffs of light toasted sweet malts and grassy and floral hops. Taste is moderatley sweet malts, mild bittering hops and some vague fruity notes. Good body considering the low abv. Quite mouthfilling. Not the most significant Bitter, but well rounded and easy to drink.
