COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Seasonal - Spring. Also available bottle conditioned all year.
Hopping Mad uses just one single hop variety, Progress, to achieve its appealing aroma, its pleasingly bitter taste and its delightful sparkle. We believe the result is uniquely enjoyable. So did the judges at the Beauty of Hops Awards, who awarded it a Silver Medal.

Almost stock lager color, but just mildly red so not realy. Smell give a bit if yeast and some grassy hops. First tastes is quite good. A little sour, some what bitter very brittish. Not super extra ordinary, but a well made ale indeed.

500ml bottle. Pours light golden with a small head. Aroma is caramel malt and lemon. Some lemon and malt to start, with a tart bitter finish. Could be a bit fuller in the mouth.

Hazy amber body. Watery texture, light in character - light bittery hops and malt. Soft bittery long aftertaste. Aroma is fruity, caramely, hay, bread/cereal, liquorice. Soft carbonation. I wouldn’t call it Hopping mad because it doesn’t reflect the beer’s character.

Countbeer (4423) - Best of E-Town mit ein Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - APR 6, 2010
Bottle: Small white foamy head. Smell is a mix of hops, honey and sweets. Amberorange color. Taste is good balanced mix of hops (bitter) and honey. Bit sweet taste turns into a dry aftertaste.

rand (1290) - SWITZERLAND - APR 1, 2010
Bottle 50 cl from The marches Little Beer Shoppe in Ludlow (Shropsh). Color beautiful amber with a small collar of white foam, average crackling. The aroma is soft and fruity, touches of toffy, peach and apple. Bitterness is moderate, the body a little thin for a heavy bitter. To the taste, it is sweetness and honey, earthy and floral keys. End sharper dry, resin and more sour.

Ober (2810) - Bommelerwaard, NETHERLANDS - JAN 13, 2010
A little hazy golden colored beer, with a thick foamy off white head. The aroma of hops with fruits and some caramel malts. The taste is bitter of hops with fruits like citrus and some orange. In the back are some spices. The aftertaste is dry, bitter with spices.

bluebetty (1019) - AUSTRALIA - OCT 30, 2009
Bottle. Pours a deep amber with small white head. Medium carbonation though the head disappears pretty quickly. Aromas os sweet malt and perhaps a little caramel. Not much in the way of hop aromas as would have expected. Flavours are once again sweet malt with some honey. Again not much flavour from the hops though there is some bitterness on the finish and a somewhat resiny after taste. Body is a little thin especially nears the end. An OK ale but was hoping for a little more.
