Hopping Mad uses just one single hop variety, Progress, to achieve its appealing aroma, its pleasingly bitter taste and its delightful sparkle. We believe the result is uniquely enjoyable. So did the judges at the Beauty of Hops Awards, who awarded it a Silver Medal.

Clear orangey golden body with short lasting head. A little bit dusty on the nose then sweetish malts. Pleasant bitterness in the taste, a little one dimensional though, low to medium body.

bottle. Cloudy golden yellow, mid-sized fluffy head. Very shy fruity nose. Not as fruity as suggested by the aroma, but still fairly fruity. Hints of peach and green apple. Good malty background and some aromatic and bitter hops in the lingering finish. Overall with a yeasty character that reminded me of a German Hefeweizen.

[1733-20080928] 500mL bottle. Fruity orange hops aroma. Hazy, medium orange brown body with a medium-lasting creamy off-white head. Bitter evergreen and fruity orange hops flavour has some needles thrown in. Medium body is a little bitter. Fairly mild but enjoyable.

2008-09-28. Hazy golden orange. Sweaty floral hops in the aroma, grassy notes develop. (5+) Flavour is pleasantly bitter, light earthy malt touches. Fairly mild, dilute flavour. Average to thin bodied. Meh. Inoffensive but unexciting. Bottle Shared by DuctTape

Botella. Pours a hazy darkish orange colour with a medium white head. Hoppy bit yeasty and caramellic aroma. Good mouthfeel. The flavour is fruity with mild bitter hops , some caramel and a soft maltiness. Dry hoppy bit fruity finish.

50 cL bottle. Pours hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is subdued fruity and mild caramel malt. Flavour holds a mild fruity note to a classic medium sweet caramel malt. Goes into more orange fruity finish with a slowly building bitterness. Ends dry,

Thx for a grand tasting, Chris_o :) Amber, no head, notes of fruit, yeast, ables, malt, little bit bitter, no after taste, lifeless.

A Mes rate: Bottle at Chris O’s laid back Friday night tasting.
Dirty gold with a very slight film topping. Full on grain and wheat with some slight hops in the background. Slight diacetyl. Some malt. Tarty, almost acrid finish. Rather lifeless in the mouth. NEXT!
