A mid copper orange coloured beer with a weak white head. A light dusty malt aroma and a hint of lemony hop. Dry mouthfeel. A dry, musty malt taste, biscuity, and a little bit sweet and buttery, but in a good way. There is a mild tangy hop flavour afterwards, that just adds an edge to the whole flavour. The finish is a touch dry.

Tastes of fruit, honey and hazelnuts and a little bitter finish. Overall quite sweet to taste, but it went down easily, and tasted great.

not much of an aroma just a hint of malt. Tastes of malt with a slightly toasty taste. Smooth. Copper colour with a thin head that disappears quickly.

From Nuneaton Asda- just sacked a basketful of Woods, Hobsons...biggest haul for a long time from an English supermarket. Brass-bronze with a steady white foam. Slightly bilious (sickbowl), wood, light leafy hop and dried fruit aroma. Fine, lightly buttered flavour with good, leathery dried grape and fig notes; some pear and cherry stone; an oak-like creaminess. Solid. Bottle even survived being droppped from chest height onto a tiled kitchen floor: bonus point.

500ml Brown bottle, best before Sept 09, drank May 09. Poured into a UK pint sleeve glass. Clear body, light orange (and I mean orange) in colour, plenty of carbonisation rising up to an off-white big bubbled head. The head fell to nothing very swiftly, not even a collar and scum. I love Fuggles hops, but it the late burst of Goldings that define this beer, the aroma and taste is very hoppy (for a UK Pale Ale). The beer is a little thin in the body and the spritzy, tangy, dry feel to the beer wasn’t really to my liking. Very disappointed with this bottle, I’ve had this beer in its Cask version and although it is lighter in alcohol when Cask, it had more flavour and body to it.
