2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 yngwie (10760) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - JAN 31, 2009
Bottle. An almost clear, golden beer with a minimal off-white head. Bready, caramel-ish nose with some piney and fruity hops. Caramel and some bitterness in the mouth, with some fruityness and pine too. Medium body, quite flat. There’s nothing wrong with this one, except that it’s boring. Might as well have a regular pilsner. (081206)
1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 Gr0ve (2038) - Oslo, NORWAY - JAN 19, 2009
500 ml bottle. Dark amber. Clear. Small off-white head. Weak medicinal aroma. Sweetish malts with a hint of nuts. A watery sensation can be detected. Dry powdery hop flavour with a light bitterness. The hop bitterness is more forthcoming in the finish where it is more metallic. Watery mouthfeel. Feels flat and there is not much carbonation. Likely also what causes the flat head. Oxidized flavours. Boring beer.
1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 Rune (6125) - Tromsø, NORWAY - DEC 19, 2008
500ml bottle from Centra Colosseum in Oslo, brought back to Tromsø and shared with Finn. Slightly unclear amber body. Missing head. Ashy dry smell of malts. Some earthy malts in the taste. Shortage of bitterness. Watery palate. Has got some refreshment to it, but overall without character [22.11.2008].
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 larsga (5325) - Oslo, NORWAY - OCT 11, 2008

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Beer3000 (3723) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - MAY 20, 2008
UPDATED: JAN 12, 2010 500 ml bottle. Clear golden body with a thin off-white head. Aroma is mild, fruity with a hint of hops. Flavor is relatively sweet and malty with a slightly bitter finish. Rather watery body. Quite straight forward bitter and actually a bit dull. Woods has a few much better brews than this.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 KnutAlbert (5186) - Oslo, NORWAY - MAY 18, 2008
Fairly standard bitter, unlikely to offend any old ladies in the parish. Do they actually brew different beers, or is it just new labels?
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 OleR (4247) - Oslo, NORWAY - MAY 16, 2008
500ml bottle as ’ Parish Best Pale’. Clear, deep golden color. Firm, slowly diminishing near-white head. Dry malts, hayish and earthy hops to the nose. Not very flavorful; light sweet malts and mild bittering hops. Watered down mouthfeel. Slim body. Bitterness in the finish. Not bad, not very exicting either.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Sigmund (4166) - Tau, NORWAY - MAR 5, 2008
500 ml bottle, as "Wood’s Parish Best Pale Ale", courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 4%. Deep golden colour, moderate to low head. The aroma is moderately malty and "dusty", a hint of toffee, nothing special. The flavour is nicely balanced between the malts and hops, a hint of toffee again, maybe also a hint of blackcurrants. Fairly light bodied, easy drinking and refreshing. Moderately bitter aftertaste.
