2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottled 04/01/14. A golden coloured beer with a tiny pool of grey head. Some sweet toffee in the nose which carries forward to the mouth making it oversweet. A bit biscuity. Low hop levels. A bit sickly. I think there are sticky Goldings in here but they don’t really wotk.

Pale amber ale with a quickly diminishing white head. No strong flavours other than a nice lemony bitter finish. Refreshing and easy drinking.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle pours nice mid amber with white lacing head. Aroma is honey , citrus and grassy. Taste is dry and hop bitterness throughout growing in intensity towards the finish carbonation a little too high. Cask is probably lower. A good refreshing bitter.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
50cl bottle from Tanners. Shrewsbury. Pours golden with gentle bubbles and a slim head which disappears quickly. The nose is of lemon and grapefruit fruit with a hint of background hay. Taste of lemon curd and soggy cornflakes. Palate is light to medium in body with a tangy texture and a fairly fresh finish. Overall very drinkable if not exceptional.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle from Nuneaton Asda. Dusky gold with a low white head. Honeyed, meaty aroma; ’catfood’ is my usual descriptor. Flavour an improvement with a thick, rye bread-like, whisky-dipped maltiness finished with honey and cream. Not as good as it sounds.
