BlackHaddock (3479) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - JUL 29, 2013
Hand-pulled pint with my Dad on 27 July 2013 in the newly re-opened ’Kinnersley Arms’, Leighton, Shropshire. Light amber, but not golden! On top a full but thin white covering. Mild, semi-sweet maltiness to the brew with a hop bitterness undertone. Floral hop nose below the biscuit malt front that carries on into the taste. Went down far too easily and we would have had another but our driver wanted to visit more pubs during the day and we moved on.

tombyars (1328) - Saltcoats, SCOTLAND - JAN 10, 2012
Tasted this in The Last Post, Paisley (JDW) in July 2009. Cask, handpump dispense. Opaque pale amber in colour with a thin white head. Fresh green apples in the short aroma. Thin resiny mouthfeel and good lacing. Pale malt gives a sweet golden syrup base with juicy marmalade fruit. Big whack of dusty hop resins full in the mouth compliments the malt well. Finish is robust with a tang of oak wood. A decent session bitter.
