3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Brewed to celebrate 18 years of the Midlands Air Ambulance. This brewery often does a semi-charity beer, this is one I picked up and thought worth reviewing.
A brown 500ml bottle, best before the end of July 2010, drank and reviewed on 4th June 2010.
Poured into a vase shaped pint glass (íOld Speckled Hení badged). It was a dullish old gold colour, clear bodied. The head was white and full, it did fall away to a collar and a wisp fairly quickly.
The beer is brewed with both barley and wheat malts, the aroma confirms that.
The taste is a good mix of malted grains and a meddium hop content to ensure it has a bitter and dry finish.
Easy to drink and at 4.3%ABV an ideal session beer. Donít know if it came out in cask, if it did, Iím sorry to have missed it.
This is a small regional brewery that constantly produces beers that deserve a bigger audience, get yourself to Shropshire and try some of their brews.

Bottle. Golden with low carbonation. Some bitterness that lingers for a time. Nearly but not quite a reasonable bitter.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from Oakchurch Farm Shop, Staunton on Wye, Herefordshire, consumed 20-09-09 Pours gold, crystal clear and with a nice white head. Light malty aroma with a dab of honey. Soft in the mouth some light toffee, very gentle bitterness and a little easy going fruitiness make this a pleasant if unchallenging beer, likeable stuff. A6 A4 F7 P3 Ov13 3.3
