4000íer IPA is a big American IPA that uses Chinook, Amarillo, and Columbus hops, that give this beer itís bold signature flavor. 4000íer is a tribute to New Hampshireís 48 peaks that are over 4000 feet and all the people who have climbed them. Enjoy!

Newly packaged in a 12 oz. can. Hops make their presence known very quickly. More bitter than I had expected and not the flavor profile I would anticipate from such an outpouring of hops. With so many excellent IPAís in the market these days, I donít anticipate purchasing this one again.

12oz bottle from I Like That, Portsmouth, NH. Golden amber with a thin cream head; big malty aroma; malt taste but with the addition of some strong spicy hops; leaving a rather sticky finish.

Bottle. DArk amber-copper pour with lacy off-white head. Aroma of peppery hops, rich caramel notes, Iseewherethisisgoing. Taste is hoppy, very bitter with a strong malt flavor that crushes any finesse from the hops. Itís rather drinkable, but very boring - itís an IBU attack on your palate, without any of the fun aspects of hops. Far from the worst of these malty IPAs Iíve had, but nothing good either.

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle. The pour is a handsome looking medium to darker amber with a lingering off-white head and moderate carbonation. The aroma has a kind of caramel malt note and sweetness up front which is quickly overtaken by the hops. Interesting for sure. The body is creamier than most IPAís but also in the medium range. The taste has a solid biting hop bitterness right off that lingers to a reasonably dry finale. A decent IPA more toward the American style rather than UK style.

Great ipa with a full body and just the right about of hop. Nice earthy back taste. Great paired with their burgers.

Balanced IPA, needs more hops for me, but itís not bad beer. Clean malt, refreshing, lightly piney, clean dry finish. Refreshing, no remarkable.

Pours hazy amber into a Sam glass. Full glass of foam on first pour...second pour produces fluffy white head. Sour fruit aromas. Dry and heavily carbonated with sour rotten fruit front to back.

22oz bottle-loud pop of carbonation being released upon opening, followed by a gusher/foam over, then even with a VERY gentle pour, a too big light tan head and hazy gold color. Aroma is orange/tangerine, light malt-bready, then a slight sour. Taste is sour citrus/malt. Would like to try this again.

Bottle opens with a pop and reveals a huge amount of carbonation. Pours a slightly cloudy dark golden color with a huge off white head that takes forever to recede and slicks itself all the way down the glass. Smells of grassy resiny fruity and floral hops with a weird buttery smell. The flavor is resinous and bitter with a tart fruity butter flavor that at first was off putting but over the course of the glass I got used to. Dry bitter finish that lingers for quite a while. Medium to thin body with an asinine level of carbonation and a tart resinous mouthfeel. Meh. Nothing horrible here, but nothing all that great either. Oh and Diacetyl rest!
