Tap. Amber colour, thin whtie head. Aroma is quite frsh Woody/spicy hops, some orange marmalade citrus character as well. Earthy malts, with a touch of sulphur and light yeastiness. Fresh British hops, orange, spicy hops and earthy malts. A bit of breadiness as well. More English pale than IPA, but it’s a decent, easy-drinking pale ale.

My Bottom Line:
This American Pale Ale’s grapefruity hops and lightly toasted pale malts benefit from a decent body and pleasant bitterness.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam tops the hazy golden, lacing well.
-The smooth effervescence increases drinkability.
-The hop bitterness was a tad leafy, and a bit resinous.
-The flavor profile was a bit mineral at times; perhaps the line was getting dirty?
On tap at the brewpub.

Bottled and brewed at Shipyard. This is not the same as the draught only version available at the inn. Pours copper with a thin white head. Has that signature Shipyard bland and boring yeast signature that overwhelms what is an otherwise a great beer. Some stray hoppy citrussy elements are also present, but not nearly as defined as the draught version. Tastes citrussy with an annoying pride of rignworm infested undertone. It amazes me anyone contract brews though Shipyard.

Draft. Too malty for the hops. Reddish/amber color, but very little bitterness.
