3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pretty decent brown ale. Pours an attractive deep brown, with only a light misting of head. Very clear. Aroma is slightly roasty, malty sweetness with just a little bit of hopping. Slightly nutty. Flavor is rich and clean, with a pretty agressive hop bite, particularly for the style. American tasting. Slight esters, nutty, woody flavors. Finish is quick and doesn't leave much behind. Medium to light bodied. Carbonation is medium, but I could stand it to be a little lower.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Has a dark brown color and a malted/nut smell. Taste is somewhat nutty and finishes pretty smooth. Overall this was a pretty good beer, but nothing exceptional. This has to be the best offering from this brewery so far.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
When I saw a beer called Pig's Ear, I had to give it a try. I am a fan of the Brown Ales, and this is a pretty good one. The carbonation seems a bit strange, unexplainable. The taste is good, has a nutty flavor to it. Mine was a little warm though, I think it would be better if it was a bit colder.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A big rich flavor, coupled with sweet aftertaste that isn’t overwhelming. I like this much better than Newcastle, but it isn’t as good as Sam Smith’s Nut Brown Ale.
