Bottlw at home in CT - thanks to brother Charlie. Pours clearish brown with a foamy tan head. Very basic brown bread nose with suggestions of berry fruits. Light to medium sweet flavor with some cigarette butts, more brown bread, toasted leaves. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Sweet finish with toasted brown bread, hints of burnt caramel, light earth and leaves. Actually a decent, tasty brown.

12oz bottle. Pours a dark brown color with a minimal light tan head. Light coffee and chocolate aroma, with a dash of floral hops. Sweet caramel and dark fruit malt flavors dominate this one. A bit sugary with a good dry finish. Sweetness seems to become more pronounced as it warms. Soft and smooth medium body.

Recommended by a bartender at Murphy’s, which I gladly took. $4.50 for the half-pint. Pours a dark blood iron rust with a trim off-white head barely a finger in length. Smells and tastes of pickled pears, earth, wheat grain, mashed corn, wine and coffee dregs, and noble hops. Relaxing.

Great brown. Malty, no hops on my tongue, no bitter just agreeable malt. Brown as it should be. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This beer is a lot ligther tasting then most brown ales I’ve tried.Poured out of a bottle and into a nonic, the nut aroma as well as taste is present, and has almost a lingering maple flavor towards the end. Cheers!

Into a pint glass, it leaves a brown colored body, two finger white foamy head quickly dies and leaves spider web lacing; the smell has malts, toffee, light nuttiness, light honey, the taste is malty and sweet, nutty aftertaste and a quick sweet almost dry finish; the palate was light to medium, very sessionable, gets creamy and smooth; overall, this is pretty good for an English Brown Ale, I recommend if you like the style
