3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 mrindex (2) - Smyrna, Georgia, USA - JUN 16, 2006 does not count
Bought at a package store in Marietta, GA, where Woodstock people were doing a promotion. Picked up this one out of the cooler and drank it as soon as I got home. After working outside all day in 90 degree weather, this was a refreshing way to cool down. Later in the evening, tried the Woodstock IPA, which is another solid choice.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 goldtwins (4320) - Nesconset, New York, USA - MAY 14, 2006
Poured a crystal clear yellow color with a small white head. Sweet malty aroma with notes of cereal (corn flakes). Malty flavor with a decent acidci hoppy finish. Mild long bitter semi-dry finish. Light to medium bodied.
3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 jcp23 (50) - Duluth, Georgia, USA - JAN 14, 2008
Pours hazy, light golden color with a thin white head. Very mild malt and citrus aromas. Flavor is quite nice, having a very citrusy quality, with a juicy, lemony taste that zings the tongue. Slightly dry finish. Very drinkable, but with enough going on to satisfy the palate. Could be nice with a lemon wedge. Can imagine this making an excellent pool side refresher. Gotta love the tie-dye label. Enjoyable!
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 rajendra82 (793) - Alpharetta, Georgia, USA - JUN 29, 2006
The sister beer of the Woodstock (Double) IPA also came in a tie-dyed labeled bottle. The look was typical of a traditional Pilsner, with a very clear, pale yellow body, lots of bubbles, and an average sized but durable head. Aromatically it was not as clean and hoppy crisp as I like a Pilsner to be, with a sweet, lemony scent, and a touch of DMS. The taste was average, with a refreshing, but a little muddy profile. The lemon twist effect was a bit overdone to be to my liking, and the lingering hop bitterness was metallic rather than spicy. This would turn out to be a good thirst quencher on a hot summer day, and the remainder of the six pack will certainly come in handy while I hang out on the porch. If they could hop it up a notch, and clean up the slight off flavors, this would be so much better.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 sliffy (2035) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JUN 5, 2006
Bottle thanks to TBC2 for this one. Yellow gold color with a white head. Aroma has some light malt, some grassy hops. There is a light bitterness with some pale malt, maybe a little lemony. I’ve had better, but it wasn’t bad.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 nolankowal (916) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - SEP 5, 2006
Pours a transparent gold with a white head. Grass and light malt make up the aroma along with a hint of clove. Light floral flavor, nice carbonation in the the light body. Not a bad "lawnmower beer"...easy to drink, a bit resfreshing...not bad, though nothing memorable.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 aracauna (2649) - Georgia, USA - SEP 2, 2006
Clear gold, although there is sediment in the bottle, there’s not much haze in the glass. The aroma is slight grassy hops, a bit of straw malt, although I wouldn’t call this dry. Definitely not as good as their IPA.
