Woodstone Creek Crowne Amber is another Woodstone Creek exclusive honey port aged with medium toast French Oak. However, this one is spiced unlike the Woodstone Creek Legacy. It is a pale, almost watery yellow color, clear, and still. The aroma is much like that of Drambuie (sweet, spicy, hints of well-aged citrus) with some oakiness. The flavor begins very sweet and syrupy, then there is some alcohol, and finishes with a combination of sweet and dry. This mead is much sweeter, but seems much less astringent than the Woodstone Creek Legacy. This one is made to sip and enjoy on a cold Winter’s eve...
