Woodstone Creek Ginger Honey

Sampled from 750 mL bottle at the Woodstone Creek Winery and Distillery tasting room... At first the ginger in the Woodstone Creek Ginger Honey reminded me of the Woodstone Creek Taliesin. However, after a couple more sips it was quite clear that these were two very different meads. This mead is considerably sweeter. In addition the flavors are ginger and sweeter honey, nbut o lemon, citrus, or toasted oak complexties as found in the Taliesin. This mead had a dry finish. The alcohol content was well hidden as well. In general this is also a still mead and has is pale yellow in color.

Sample at tasting room. Poured clear pale color with good legs. Heavy ginger honey aroma. Light to medium body with a sticky texture. Medium honey ginger sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Solid drinkable mead.

Pours pale clear yellow, still. Light spice aroma, with a moderately sweet flavor with a light body. Light spice throughout. $10.99/bottle
