Woodstone Creek Honey Mist is definitely a Pyment. The fruity grapiness of the white wine that is blended in is easily distinguishable. the honey takes a half step or so behind the fruity grape in the bouquet and flavor. Don’t get me wrong, the honey isn’t completely masked; the blend is actually very well done as it is nicely balanced (just enough to slightly showcase or bring out the qualities of the grapes). This is a still mead that has a clear, golden color. After drinking the first couple meads, this one is much sweeter, but probably only moderately sweet on the over all scale. This was another memorable mead and propably the best Pyment I have had to date... Tmoney99 (3471), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Dec 24, 2006 Sample at tasting room.
