Mar 28, 2006 Pretty mediocre porter. Pours blackish brown with a small tan head. Aroma is what you would expect from a porter (roasted malts, touch of coffee, etc.) but it’s real weak. Same with the flavor. Mouthfeel is good, decent body, just a touch on the thin side.

Sep 22, 2005 on draft at the brewery. decent mouthfeel, warming and full, but the flavor is bland and the aroma is nearly non-existent (for a porter, anyway). despite a reasonably full body, it manages to finish thin. i like porters but this won’t really amaze anyone.

Jun 28, 2005 On tap: Very roast aroma with grain and malt. Dark brown with no tranparency and a nice tan head. Roasted grain and coffee throughout. Finishes with a moderate hoppines and some burnt popcorn, which really hurts. Stick with the Vanilla Porter.
