3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
This review is for Workingman Brewing Ignition IPA. On tap @ Tap25. Smells like a typical IPA, hoppy, bitter. Light golden color with a thin, white head. Tastes dry, bitter, not very sweet. Body is light and thin, average carbonation. Overall, pretty good for a local 7.1% IPA. Wanted to love this hometown brew but a little to much malt for my taste - but not bad, just not great (or different) either.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Um… I’m not sure where the high ratings are coming from on this one. Look, I really like the people here and hope that they do well, but this was not a quality IPA. It has the hallmarks of a hot fermentation. Really wacky yeast notes. Solvent and major fruity esters. Not to mention too much caramel malt. (really ANY in a west coast IPA is unnecessary) There was some piney and citrusy hops in there, but all the other off flavors ruined it. I hope they get their act together.

Smooth, very drinkable IPA, with nice bite of hop bitterness and alcohol.

A little golden brown. Real nice bitter pale. Light and refreshing. Super Duper drinkable. Try you’ll like it.

On tap at Livermore Saloon. Poured deep amber color with good carbonation. Rich flavor with an unreal balance of malt and hops. Big beer that will linger on your palate. Heard they might be bottling soon. Stay tuned this is a new brewery in the Livermore Wine country that can potentially deliver award winning beers.
