COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Reddish-gold hazy unfiltered brew. Pungent aroma of citrus, floral spice, and grapefruit. Decidedly bitter palate with a medium light body. Flavors of hoppy grapefruit give way to a dry finish. Our Hop Back and Double Dry Hop process ensure aromatics that are in your face coupled with an obscene amount of kettle hops that should make all bitter beer fans and hop heads love Wormtownís Be Hoppy I.P.A.!

Very nice IPA, lives up to the name, very hoppy, floral aroma, hops dominate, i was pleasantly suprised and would try more from this brewer.

Draft. Pours a hazy burnt yellow with a thin white head that lingers. Nice citrus aroma over light carbonation. A decent ipa but a bit one dimensional. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Came to Springfield, MA on a business trip and was a stranger in a not so strange land. Found this gem of a beer on draft at the hotelís sports bar. Murky yellow full bodied IPA with malt sweetness and a moderate citrus bitterness. Weird name but a top notch IPA.

On tap at Sturbridge Seafood: Pours amber with a nice one-finger white head. Aroma heavy citrus, grapefruit, and a little floral. Taste is a bit sweet up front, but then is immediately flooded with a beautiful citrus hop bouquet. Medium body, slightly sticky mouthfeel. Excellent IPA.

Can shared by a friend. Pours clear amber with a thick beige head. Sweet malt and citrus aroma with grassy hop notes. Piney and citrusy flavor with some malt before a grassy hop finish.

Thanks to jlindros. Beautiful head on this beer. Itís a solid mass of white foam that sticks around for a long time and leaves solid rings marking each sip. The liquid is a cloudy golden mass of color. I donít put a lot of stock in appearance, but this is an attractive IPA. Aroma has a nice dose of hops backed with light malt and some good mineral character. The hops are sweet and pack a lot of citrus. Tangerine, grass, pine, grapefruit, mint, pear, green grape. Itís a bit restrained and doesnít have the huge juiciness of some new IPAs, but whatís there is quite nice and itís all sweet and rather mouthwatering. Moderate bitterness. Quite dry. More mineral flavor. Some light, doughy malt. Good flavor from the hops. It never gets blandly bitter, which is more and more becoming a bright line test of hoppy beer quality for me. Tangerine, pine, grass, pepper. Some herbal and spicy hop notes. Light on the palate. Very easy to drink. Normal carbonation. Some hop oiliness. This is an excellent IPA. I think it would be even juicier fresh, and if not, they could use the same basic formula to pump that up. This is right in the same space as the new wave of top hoppy beers.

This was exactly what they advertise it be, which is great, pours reddish gold with hops just jumping out on every direction, loads of citrus and grapefruit with some pinny notes as well.

UPDATED: SEP 5, 2014 I hate to knock a fine brew which a majority of people obviously enjoy, but I am no fan of the bitter hoppy aftertaste that this brew leaves on the palate and back of the tongue. Otherwise it is quite admirable, very well balanced and clearly well made although featuring one of the ugliest 16oz. cans ever. The ale looks good, smells great, tastes very smooth and light and then... youíre left with an unpleasant bitter taste in your mouth. Or, you could GET OVER IT and appreciate what a truly fine brew this is. After my initial quibbles about the building bitterness I found myself searching the shelves for this still rare (even here in Western Mass.) brew,,, and am happy to find it again. Good stuff!

Just a great IPA canned from wormtown. Citrus forward with mild bittnerness. Some pine and herbal notes in there with light caramel and bready malts. Very drinkable and great.
