American Double IPA brewed with Amarillo, Centennial, Chinook, Summit and Calypso hops. Buddha’s hand and grapefruit peel are added at the end of the boil to reinforce the citrus qualities of the American hops. Buddha’s hand is a variety of citron with long fingers and no fruit inside. Intense zest and flavorful but not bitter pith contribute to the juicy hop profile of this unique brew.

UPDATED: MAR 17, 2014 I’m a big fan of this newly released DIPA. The aroma is very floral with vague hints of citrus. The flavor is packed to the gills, dank resiny floral citrus grapefruit with a crisp bitter finish. It’s essential to let this warm in the glass for 10-15 minutes before enjoying. The only thing preventing a perfect score is the use of Chinook hops which unfortunately tends to exaggerate the illusion of dry pith.

Fresh 22 oz. bottle thanks to Rob B. Huge fluffy white head with strong head retention. Awesome aroma! Citrusy, resiny lightly earthy and somewhat dank. Juicy hops. Flavor is dank, green leafy hop flavors, big citrus with hints of pineapple juice, tropical fruits of mango and spicy. Oily / slick hop oil finish with a strong bread and caramel backbone. The bitterness lingers for a good while and shows the juicy fruity hops right after the sip. This is finely crafted DIPA and a joy to drink. Any hophead should be pleased with a fresh sample!

Another winner from Wormtown. Hops are big and citrus forward with a fair amount of lemon and pine as the main characteristics. FInishes citrus/lemon forward with some doughy biscuity malts.

22oz bottle in a tulip. Pours hazy amber with a lacy, off-white head. Aroma of citrusy and resinous hops, some citrus and fruits from the fruits added, pale and light caramel malts, and hints of dough. Flavor the same with a nice blend. Average texture. A cool beer.

UPDATED: MAR 22, 2014 Bottle - thanks to Reynolds314! Pours cloudy orange with a medium puffy off-white head that dissipates slowly with nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is buttery with strong pine, floral and citrus notes. Flavor is the same, medium sweet buttery biscuit and light bitter pine and citrus. Full body and creamy oily mouthfeel. Nice enough effort, but not really standing out of the pack.
