22oz bottle in a teku. Pours black with a lacy, tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, toasted coconut, some light dough, and hints of bitterness. Flavor the same, but thereís some off flavor and Iím not really sure what itís from. Average to smoother texture. A cool beer, but could be refined into something way better. Also, not sure on the freshness of the bottle if that makes a difference.

Pours a burnt umber color with a finger or two of eggshell foam. The nose is earthy ash, muttled cocoa and traces of coconut. The palate follows with a bit of duality in the palate. Nice almond joy undertones with balanced flavors of cocoa and coconut mingling with a nutty maltiness. However it drinks a bit thin and the finish is abrupt and turns a bit strange.

Sells and tastes like almond joy bars. Pours a rich brown color with tan head. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pourer thick dark chocolate unclear with a decent creamy cocoa head. Aroma is so sweet and delectable bringing sweet notes of caramel and coconut and cappuccino. Flavor brings some toasted and sweet coconut flavors, as well a chocolate on a creamy body.

Tap. Pours opaque brown with thin, lasting white head. Tons of coconut on the nose with some chocolate. Drinks smoothly with little bitterness. Heavy coconut on the palate. Interesting flavor but not balanced enough for me.

Tap. Clear dark brown with a frothy ran head. Smells of coconut, chocolate, and roasted malt. Flavor is the same, big on the coconut. Medium bodied, smooth finish.

Pours deep mahogany into a snifter. Mocha head recedes to hug rim. Coconut and chocolate aromas. Medium bodied with sweet coconut and chocolate front to back.

Sampled at Julios New England Craft Beer Fest. One of the better beers with coconut that Iíve tasted, possibly the best. Enjoyed it that much more knowing that the actual "Norm" was sitting at the next table over (FYI - If you live in New England you need his book).

UPDATED: DEC 30, 2013 Pronounced chocolate and coconut aromas and flavors dominate this oatmeal stout. Nicely rich and just shy of too sweet, the flavor is very comparable to a Mounds candy bar.
