3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle from Home Bargains (£1.00 for 500ml):
A fairly average beer on the whole with strong carbonation and a nice, crisp taste but it was lacking any strong flavours and it was a bit one dimensional. An easy enough beer to drink but certainly not one that is worth seeking out on its own.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle from the Temple Spec’s. Light pour with a white head. Aroma is a little light fruit and some bread. Taste is just kinda grainy and there. Not much going on.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pour is a hazy yellow with an average white head. Aroma is a bit fruity with a herbal hop. Flavor is a super dry malt with a little chalkiness toward the end. After the swallow not much is happening. Some more dry malt but kind of flavorless. It’s ok but I wish it was not so dry.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a light to medium golden amber with a half finger white head with good retention and light lacing. Aroma of biscuit malt, earthy with a hint of citrus. Flavor is very attenuated biscuit malt with light grassy hops and light wheat. Flavors are nice, but quite bland. Light bodied, but pleasant carbonation. A bit of a disappointment after the White Shield, which was flavorful.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
On sale for like a buck at Sam’s, Durham. Pretty handsome looking pour, bright orange with a billowing head. Nose was pretty indistinct, some leafy hops and a whiff of mild fruit. Taste was pretty dispiriting, though, mostly washed out grain. Bleh.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
500 ml. gusher, but that is less I had to drink. Golden color with a fizzy white head. Malt and corn aromas. High carbonation and very little going on in terms of flavors.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Exploding bottle. Pours a hazy light amber color with what looked like a thicker head while it lasted. Nose has a fair amount of bread up front with a tiny bit of citrus poking through on the back end. Taste is fairly light and unremarkable, with little to speak of.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
On tap at the National Brewery Centre
The tap selection here was not great so given four "free" samples I chose to go with the new ticks. I am glad since I would not normally purchase Worthingtons after this. There are worse beers on the planet. Conversely there are many more great beers instead.
Aroma / Appearance - The golden clear base is carbonated and generic. Lemon zest, light hops, and not much else attempt to keep one’s attention. They don’t very well.
Flavor / Palate - Lemon and watery malts come in each sip. The minimal bitterness does not provide much time for reflection. This might as well have been anything with alcohol for the amount of flavor and depth. Still, at least it could have been worse.
