Clear light amber color with ivory head. Tooty fruity tropical fruit, pine hoppy aromas. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Nice tropical fruit, pine, light citrusy hoppy bitter flavors with some dry hay, dust____nicely bitter drying finish---very tasty.

On tap at bier thirty. Pours out a dark golden topped with a small sand head. Nose is pine citrus hops and a sweet malt. Taste is as the nose with a nice hop combo.

On tap at Bier:Thirty, Boise at the Worthy Brewing Tap Take-Over Clear deep golden with a fine smooth off-white head. Subdued hoppy aroma. Light malts. A bit underwhelmed so far. Pretty light bodied and moderate hop profile as well. Their other beers were robust, big and flavorful, but their IPA and now this DIPA, while good, are just not very aggressive. I am impressed with Worthy but they could have aimed higher with these.

Amber color, clean. Both aroma and flavor focus more on caramel than hops. Good body strength, moderate sweetness, and strong bitterness but not much hop character. Good but not impressive.

Best tapped before feb 17 2014 (we are already 5 weeks late)

Cloudy orange-golden color with compact head. Nice fruity aroma, oranges and apricots; sweat; pungent, some tropical fruit; impression of fresh Cabernet. Smooth mouthfeel, full bodied, but also lean, with just moderate residual sweetness; good malt and toffee flavor, aggressive bitterness, plenty of bitter orange peel, some other fruits too, and delicate flowery touch; very long resiny final.
Interesting, quite original. Drier than the average DIPA, a bit easier to drink.

Nicely hopped ale, piney hops cover the high ABV%. Deep golden color with small creamy head. Aroma is pine and citrus, taste is soft and malty, with hops on the finish. Well done all around.

Pours a completely clear orange-amber with a little bit of white head and even less lacing. Not much aroma at first, but warms up to some light malt, grapefruit and just a tiny bit of floral hop in the nose. Taste is bitter and spicy in a West Coast bitter dry hop way but fades quite quickly. Body is sharp and crisp with decent amount of carbonation. Not big enough to be labelled an IIPA, I think, but a very decent, drinkable IPA.

Clear amber pour with white head and thin lacing. Low expectations due to surprisingly low rating, but was pleasantly surprised by Worthy's IPA so hard to say. Grapefruit aroma, quite sweet and hoppy. Crisp hoppy bitterness - resin and fruit. Rich. Good - would think it was a regular IPA more than DIPA but still quite good and drinkable.

From a firkin at Green Dragon for the 7th Annual Firkin Fest. Light yellow color. Light citrus aroma. Taste is tropical citrus and sweet malts. Quite light for an imperial IPA.

22 picked up last week at Brewer’s Haven in Boise... Poured tonight into my GT 25th tulip... slightly hazed darker golden... decent enough white head with an okay cap... middle of the road lacing. The nose is pretty well done.. good citrus and tropical fruit notes... a bit of a floral essence with warmth... smells like it is going to have a thicker malt presence. Flavor is okay too... I like my DIPA’s drier with significantly less pale maltiness... I think it mutes the bitterness AND the hop flavors and I think I am certainly right in this case... hop flavors show as a sorta tangerine zest that blooms with the malts, but is still not focused enough. Body is a touch thick for an 8.5% DIPA. Despite all my above "negatives", this is a good beer.
