3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
22oz bomber from Fred Meyer in North Salem.
Pours a clear darker golden colour with a good sized creamy, thick white head.
The aroma is seriously AWOL on this bottle some resiny/floral hops and a slight smell of raw alcohol. not great to be honest.
The taste is well balanced ( too well for IIPA)..the hops are definitely there but are almost sweet and compliment the substantial malts. Its nice but for SEVEN varieties of hop this is strangely a malty beer.( im judging out of style because i do like the flavor).
Mouth feel is OK i suppose but it does get a trifle sticky in the end..and despite the nose the alcohol is hidden!
I liked the beer but a poor rendition of an Imperial IPA.

Very tough beer. One of the breweries highest in alcohol. The atypical in your face Pacific North-West IPA.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Sample at Duck Island Saloon. The beer pours a hazy dark golden color with a medium off-white head that diminishes quickly. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of floral hops, malt and fruit. Medium-bodied with a moderately bitter hops character that has floral and piney notes, along with some malt. The finish is hoppy with a fruity aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft at uber. Cloudy medium amber with a loose creamy white head. Lots of stringy lace. Rich fruity nose, lots of mango and passion fruit. Creamy medium body with smooth carb. Oranges, caramel, pineapple, and mango on the mid palate. Long sweet finish ftw.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Draft. Worthy Brewery. COD tasting night - Dale Crawford. Disappointed. It was a little bit flat and thick. Stuck to the side of my mouth. Probably will not try this beer again. Needed more kick to impress me as a double IPA.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
On tap at Belmont station. Colour...amber-gold with no head. Nose...sugary, piney hops and tropical fruit sirops. Palate...massively cloying, enormously hoppy and yet there’s a lot of malt here too! Dry earth hits mid palate and then a tartly tangy smack of quince and grapefruit brings it all to a close.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
A really big and "worthy" I IPA. Has a big hop bite to it partnered with a caramel malt note that really came out more with each sip.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tap at Worthy, Bend, 23/05/13.
Lightly hazed golden with a thin off white head.
Nose is hops, pine, grass, orange pith, bitter grapefruit.
Taste comprises light pine, hops, orange pith, grapefruit.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, hop bitterness in the finish.
Ok drinkable stuff but a little subdued and not delivering the big hop kick and pine bite I expect from a DIPA.
