Very tough beer. One of the breweries highest in alcohol. The atypical in your face Pacific North-West IPA.

Hazy orange with thin white head. Aroma of pineapple and guava and taste is the same, but taken down a notch by some English character. $4/22oz

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
22 oz bottle from Portland Fruit West in Beaverton, OR. Pours clear. Aroma has notes of resin, hay, and white wine, with a hint of sweet bubblegum. Mouthfeel starts crisp and dry, and somehow finishes smooth and a bit creamy, with a short, bitter aftertaste. Masks the alcohol very well. A unique and pretty great DIPA!

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Poured from a 22oz. Pours a light amber color, doesn’t look like a strong beer at all. It drinks very easy and smooth. Initial nose is sweet like tropical fruit but gives way to a grassy aroma. Taste is very well balanced and ever so slightly bitter. This is just a very easy drinking 8.5%-er!

On tap at Darby's. Pours a clear straw yellow with a low lying fine bubble whit cap that doesn't change. Aroma of biscuit, brown sugar, pink grapefruit, tropical fruit. Taste is pretty sweet with a pleasant bitterness. Mouthfeel is clean, with a slight bit of stickiness.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Clear light amber color with ivory head. Tooty fruity tropical fruit, pine hoppy aromas. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Nice tropical fruit, pine, light citrusy hoppy bitter flavors with some dry hay, dust____nicely bitter drying finish---very tasty.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at Bier:Thirty, Boise at the Worthy Brewing Tap Take-Over Clear deep golden with a fine smooth off-white head. Subdued hoppy aroma. Light malts. A bit underwhelmed so far. Pretty light bodied and moderate hop profile as well. Their other beers were robust, big and flavorful, but their IPA and now this DIPA, while good, are just not very aggressive. I am impressed with Worthy but they could have aimed higher with these.

Amber color, clean. Both aroma and flavor focus more on caramel than hops. Good body strength, moderate sweetness, and strong bitterness but not much hop character. Good but not impressive.

Best tapped before feb 17 2014 (we are already 5 weeks late)
Cloudy orange-golden color with compact head. Nice fruity aroma, oranges and apricots; sweat; pungent, some tropical fruit; impression of fresh Cabernet. Smooth mouthfeel, full bodied, but also lean, with just moderate residual sweetness; good malt and toffee flavor, aggressive bitterness, plenty of bitter orange peel, some other fruits too, and delicate flowery touch; very long resiny final.
Interesting, quite original. Drier than the average DIPA, a bit easier to drink.

Nicely hopped ale, piney hops cover the high ABV%. Deep golden color with small creamy head. Aroma is pine and citrus, taste is soft and malty, with hops on the finish. Well done all around.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a completely clear orange-amber with a little bit of white head and even less lacing. Not much aroma at first, but warms up to some light malt, grapefruit and just a tiny bit of floral hop in the nose. Taste is bitter and spicy in a West Coast bitter dry hop way but fades quite quickly. Body is sharp and crisp with decent amount of carbonation. Not big enough to be labelled an IIPA, I think, but a very decent, drinkable IPA.
