COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Clean, crisp and refreshing. A tribute to our friends at Indie Hops, this amazingly balanced beer is bursting with the finest hops Oregon has to offer: Nugget, Centennial, Meridian, Crystal and Horizon. Renowned for his IPAs, Chad just raised the bar.

Can. Pours clear orange with white head. Aroma is fresh grain, cereal, wheat, caramel. Taste is very mellow, malty, thin, not very hoppy, simple. Overall, not very good.

Very nice IPA. Big citrus and pine on the nose. Nice balance and by no means is this a Hop bomb of an IPA. Subtle, but creamy mouthfeel and nice bitterness in the finish.

CAN. Pours a burnished golden with amber mid-tones, average head, good lacing. There’s a very complex hop aroma profile that borders between slightly medicinal, herbal, dank, yet also shows some berry, citrus, a little bit of minty woodiness, and peach-like stone fruit. There’s a golden malty aroma as well, just slightly doughy. It’s got a bright flavor, mid-palate malt sweetness, and smooth end-palate bittering. Finishes dry and leaves a malt-ester aftertaste more than that of the hops. Very good beer.

Salmoniform (950) - Sweet Home, Oregon, USA - SEP 21, 2014
Poured from can to glass. Golden hue with fizzy white head that dissipated to a thick ring. Decent lacing. Aroma is mango, orange peel, grapefruit, faint pine, grassy. Mouthfeel is nice with a medium body and crisp carbonation. Taste is sweet initially followed by a strong hop bitterness that dominates through the finish. Overall this is a decent IPA.

Strong hop aroma and subtle hop flavor. High alcohol content yet weak tasting. This beer has some identity problems.

22 oz bottle from Fred Meyer’s in Beaverton, OR. Crystal clear pour. Aroma is sweet, floral, piney, resinous, and a bit fruity, with hints of caramel and grass. Amazing! Perfect crisp mouthfeel with a gentle and balanced bitter bite in the finish. Perfectly sweet and bitter from start to finish. One of the best non-Imperial IPA on the market, IMO. Damn, these guys can brew.

Poured from a 22oz bottle. This is a classic Northwest IPA. Has a piney-sweet aroma and a great ’in your face’ hop bite. This beer has a great balance to it and the sweet-bitter finish is just great!

22 oz. bottle. Rather clear gold with active carbonation. Aroma is grassy, dank weed and dry hay bale.

The flavor is the identical to the aroma. Large dankness and grassy farmhouse hay. Bitterness is in the finish but only lingering very lightly. For a single IPA this actually really nice bitterness as it warmed. The bitterness and malt is balanced pretty well, light hints of fruit. Finish is real clean. Nice drinker.

Bottle from Joe’s. Clear gold with lasting head and lotsa lace. Citrus and floral aroma with a touch of soap and bread. Tropical fruit honey grainy mild sweetness with assertive grapefruit rind bitter dry finish with just a hint of sweetness. Medium light body. Not sure why the low ratings. Pretty excellent.

Love canned IPAs. This one is 10 weeks old - a little outside my normal window, but for $1.59, there was little risk. Turns out there was none. I’d like to have one fresh since at 2.5 months old the aroma and flavor were still quite nice. Floral and piney aroma and flavor, with some tropical fruit and moderate bitterness. Clean finish
