Worthy Brewing Company makes a very good Stout. They really need to focus on brewing a few more of these.

Tap at GABF 2013. Poured a clear dark brown with a round bubbly off white head. The aroma is rich aromatic resin and red berry fruit. The flavour is medium bitter with a roasted malt liqourice watery palate. The taste was much better than the aroma.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Tap at Worthy, Bend, 23/05/13.
Very dark mahogony brown with a thin tan head that dissipates to the edge leaving a thin film.
Nose is light roast, liqourice, touch of chocolate, on the thin side.
Taste comprises roast malt, chocolate, brown sugars, liqourice.
Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, sweetish in the finish.
Little depth or character for 7.7%, drinkable, forgettable. Iíve had so many 4.5% cask stouts that far exceed this relatively big boy in the stout world for flavour! Another average beer on my visit to Worthy - which had been bigged up by my friends who also felt let down.

Aroma of roasted nuts and chocolate. Medium body with flavors of chocolate malt, espresso and mild hops. The finish is roasty with a malty aftertaste. Above average overall.
