COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
CHILL DOWN. After bombing the back bowls or just walking the dog, you’ll want to snug up to our generously hopped, dark amber Winter Ale. Dry hopped twice with a cozy Centennial/Chinook & Cascade/Columbus combo, the Powder Key with warm your tongue without blowing it up. Whether boarding or brewing, when it comes to balance, we go to the extreme.

Bottle:   First thing I thought of was nettles, cooked nettles.   Dunno why, but that’s what I tasted.   Malty, some biscuit, pale hop and citrus peel.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   A touch stale on the finish, but its minor.   Lingering pith, citrus peel, biscuit, and maybe even a little bit of pine or spruce.   Could stand to be a touch sweeter.   Nothing really out of the ordinary for a Winter Ale, but decent enough.

Bomber. Oranges, caramel, nuts and spices. A little bit of something roasted. Sticky. Light bitterness throughout. Tasty.

22 oz bottle from Roth’s Sunnyslope Market in S.Salem $4.99 Pours a clear hazelnut colour with a small frothy off white head. That goes after a few minutes but leaves a lot of lace down the glass. Well balanced aroma here, spruce, slight resin and deep citrus peel, all balanced by a chewy, nutty caramel malt. Taste is almost exactly as described in the aroma..except the deep dark lcoffee after taste that goes on for ever..nice. Nice on the palate..well balanced and not too sticky.Medium to low carbonation. Very nice winter beer here, drinkable and not cloying. Worthy does these deeper malty beers better than IPAS!

On tap at Liquid Assets. Pours a pale brown color with a bit of head. Broad well balanced hop flavors without anything overpowering too much. Very easy going.

my nose thinks strawberry, with honey and light woodsmoke. a round peachy fruitness that stings my tongue with a citrus-resin combo, woodsmoke, caramel. spongy off white head on clear orange-brown. soon feel the alcohol warming. sticky finish
