3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bomber from Malt & Vine. Pours a light translucent copper with a small beige head. Aroma of lightly roasty malts, lots of ripe stone fruit, and citrus/resin. Seems to be very hoppy. Medium body or better. Flavor matches the aroma, but the resin seems significantly more in place. There’s lots of mixed flavor, the flavor is fairly strong. I can’t really decipher the bits and pieces, but it’s pretty tasty ale.

this red ipa is just ok, especially with a couple nicer hoppy ales in their line-up. medium bodied citrus and malt well balanced, but nothing stands out.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle:   First thing I thought of was nettles, cooked nettles.   Dunno why, but that’s what I tasted.   Malty, some biscuit, pale hop and citrus peel.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   A touch stale on the finish, but its minor.   Lingering pith, citrus peel, biscuit, and maybe even a little bit of pine or spruce.   Could stand to be a touch sweeter.   Nothing really out of the ordinary for a Winter Ale, but decent enough.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
22 oz bottle from Roth’s Sunnyslope Market in S.Salem
Pours a clear hazelnut colour with a small frothy off white head. That goes after a few minutes but leaves a lot of lace down the glass.
Well balanced aroma here, spruce, slight resin and deep citrus peel, all balanced by a chewy, nutty caramel malt.
Taste is almost exactly as described in the aroma..except the deep dark lcoffee after taste that goes on for ever..nice.
Nice on the palate..well balanced and not too sticky.Medium to low carbonation.
Very nice winter beer here, drinkable and not cloying.
Worthy does these deeper malty beers better than IPAS!
