4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
On tap at the brewpub. Cloudy copper pour with an off white head. Muted clove bouquet. So complex with loads of malts that give way to molasses, banana, and clove undercurrents. This might be the best Dunkel I have ever tried. Smooth and creamy with a good body and mouthfeel. Impressive.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Comes out of the tap an opaque dark honey brown with a fine-bubbled light tan head that leaves very generous lacing. Robust, wheaty aroma has a strong overtone of banana with touches of pear and apple. Flavor has hearty wheat and banana tones, a touch of honey-like sweetness. Firm, lively texture leaves a nice tingly, wheaty, banana finish. Don’t cry uncle, cry Onkel! ;)
