3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at the pub. Pours a dark brown with a red tint. Purple fruit on the back end of the palate. Chewy grwain and toffee aroma. Flavor is big malt up front with that fruit on the back end. Nice effort for a pretty difficult style with some very well represented offerings from the belgians that I might gravitate towards over this one.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Feel red Brown color with thin lacing. Bold candied citrus aroma with cherry notes. The palate has similar notes to the aroma with an underlined raison aspect. Pinot noir barrels definitely play a role in the mouthful.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at the brewpub. Pours a dark near black brown with a light brown head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has a note of light dark fruit (plums) with some candied sugar and a bit of alcohol underlying. Flavor has more of a dark grain note with a plum and raisin note coming through and a bit of an underlying sweetness and a decent amount of alcohol in the finish.
