pivo (2488), Germany Jul 16, 2006 TAP: Coudy brown with a low head, smells of toffee. Thin toasted malt body, spiced end. Thin body. OK, but not so good after all. Yogi_Beera (2404), Hamburg, Germany Jul 15, 2006 At the Wuppertaler Brauhaus on Tap: Murky brown color, small head on top. Malty, a bit peppery, fresh grain taste. Somehow I had the impression the glass wasn’t washed out properly. Not to exciting. MoritzF (3883), Ruhrpott, Germany Aug 30, 2005 (from the tap at Wuppertaler Brauhaus) Hazy dark brown colour with a sticky off-white foam, slowly lacing. Aroma is malty with hints of butterscotch and hops. Lighter bodied than expected; taste of buttery and slightly toasted malts with an almost lasting dry and hoppy finish. The Dunkel is much better than the Wupper Helles. dortmunder (961), Herdecke, Germany Aug 28, 2005 Bottled. 1 litre. Very small head. Cloudy reddish brown. Aroma consists of toasted malts and liquorice. Toasted malt flavour ending medium dry and slightly hoppy. Okayish dunkel.
