No, for the wine region around Wuerzburg is not a good beer. The Wuerzburg Pils is certainly at most second Class! Herb in the finish but quite sweet in Antrunk. Overall, a strange bitter beer that makes you want to wine - and this one should stay in Wuerzburg.

Golden colour. Herbal hop aroma. Herbal with light sticky hop and a little bit of breezy malt.

Draft @ brewery tap Wurzburg. Bright clear gold with thick stable head. Smells very earthy. Then tastes hoppier and very nice with nice sweet minerally lingering hop bitterness and great hop character. Good one.

Terrific pilsner. Floral and slightly bitter with a sour nose. Light but not watery. I was impressed with the strong taste given the style. Highly carbonated (too carbonated) with absolutely no alcohol taste.
4.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20 crossovert (4772) - Wisconsin, USA - FEB 11, 2011
Poured into a pokal from a brown 11.2 ounce glass. Due Date is August of 09 so I am drinking it just then. It has a nice, large, foamy white head. The beer is really clean and clear, lots of carbonation. Straw yellow in color. The lacing on this one is a bit weird, it leaves a lot of little spots.
Nice spicy noble hops on the nose, still smells fresh.
This is a noble pilsener. The perfect balance of hops and malt, the hops lingerer on the tongue with some spice. There is a good lemon flavor as well. The malt is slightly more subdued but rounds out the hops beautifully with some sweet notes.
Overall this rivals any pils out there and might just have taken the pils crown for me. It just has some wonderful hops going in it, that smooth mouthfeel we all love, and the infinite drinkablity brewers dream of selling.

Bottle to glass plisner. Pours nearly clear and results in a very light yellow with sparse head, and decent lacing. I can barely smell anything. Light body with some light hop bite. Too watery for me. It doesn’t really taste like anything, but has significant carbonation.

On tap at Track 84 - Warwick, RI. Aroma has a nice snap of hops and pilsner malt, with a good bit of lager quality. Pours a lightly hazy pale golden, with a nice frothy clean white head. Flavors are crisp and fresh, with good bright hop flavor, crackery pils malt and nice mineral base. Delicious, clean and fresh. I think it could shine some more, but overall, I’m very impressed.

Draught. Golden, slightly opaque pour with a massive fizzy white head. Aroma of pepper and yeast. Medium mouthfeel, moderate carbonation with a lasting, sharp finish. A really nice pilsner.

This was a good clean German pilsener but nothing that was different than any of the other middle of the road pilseners...hard to rate this style.
