Pours near clear amber orange with well retained off white head. Aromas of nutmeg, burnt toffee, grains, cinnamon and figs. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel, light breast biscuit sweetness, hints of mint mixed with the Christmas cake and cinnamon nutmeg spice. Finishes lightly sweet, lingering malt and spice with earthy hop character lingering.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours brilliant ruby red. Creamy off white head fades quickly with some lacing. Aroma is faint Xmas spice and toasty malt. Flavor is more toasty malt the spice is very subtle, there’s a slight oxidized taste. Decent Xmas beer I like that the spice is not over done.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
a pretty nice traditional winter warmer. medium bodied, malty, with a hint of cinnamon and a hint of hops (more in the aftertaste). nice beer,, really smooth and does not get you bloated at all. It has just the right amount of carbonation.

2.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
500ml bottle. Reddish brown colour with a small off white head. The aroma is like a cheap strong lager with corn dominating. The flavour is fairly plain with the addition of spice, in this case cinnamon. Not an unpleasant ale in fact it is quite drinkable. Not great. Note this was a 5% abv bottle.

"a pretty nice traditional winter warmer. medium bodied, malty, with a hint of cinnamon and a hint of hops (more in the aftertaste). nice beer, but there are too many very good winter seasonals to go back to this too often."
