My Bottom Line:
Raisins, roasted malts and molasses combine in this flavorful but somewhat anemic example.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A ring of foam surrounds the brown-hued black.
-This lacks body for a Stout.
-The mild bitterness could be more generous to balance out the malt character.
-These malts contribute enjoyable, non-linear flavors.

Bottle at Stika, Budapest. Black and clear with brown tints and a brown head. Roasted bitter tarry aroma with chocolate and coffee, dark fruit and slight nail polish. Taste is slight sweet and bitter roasted with caramel and coffee, fudge and vanilla, broken twigs, dark berries. Pretty bitter ashy finish. Medium body, soft carbonation, oily to dry texture. Nice old school british porter. Fairly ashy bitter though.

Bottle from Meny (Amager), Copenhagen - black pour with beige head. Medium roasted and medium sweet malty, some chocolate, caramel, some burnt malty notes, smooth easy going stout.

Described as a porter on the label but hey ho. 500ml bottle from a Tesco in Xiamen, China. Pours black with a beige head. Aroma of burnt malt with treacle. Sweet finish, a little thin. Drinkable.

Simple but quite nice. Roasted maltiness, marshmallow, coffee, bit even smoked. Light sweetness with light bitterness. Smooth, but bit watery aftertaste. Otherwise - lovely

When it comes to stout the minute differences are everything and this beer is very intricate in its taste specifics. It sure is exremely smooth and soothing (especially after an extremely strong beer before).. It has everything a stout needs to have and is convincing. A good stout.
