Black and creamy with strong oats and dark chocolate flavors. Not quite "spell binding and mysterious", but still very tasty.

Bottle to pint glass In Toronto 15 years ago, this was one of the only craft or micro beers available in the stores, so although not a great beer, it was still a gateway beer for me as it’s so much better than the macros. Oats, soy, dark chocolate, and a hint of skunk. Black with a thin creamy tan head with good retention. Taste is burnt wood, oats, bread.

Ciemne o wysokiej brazowej pianie. W zapachu slabe troche ziemiste. W smaku wyczuc mozna karmel rodzynki chlebowo gorzki posmak. Piwo nie jes za slodkie i zimne nie jest zle.

500ml bottle. A fairly mediocre porter. Drinkable enough but typical of Wychwood - average at best.

Pours nice black, you can feel sweetness so if you do not like bitter beers try this one. All around not the best but not bad at all.

Bottle at Norwich Waterfront music venue (while watching The Icicle Works who were excellent btw). Beer pours almost black with a creamy off white head. Relatively mild aroma of chocolate, roasted coffee and malt. Medium bitterness and light sweetness. Soft carbonation, full body, smooth creamy texture. Enjoyable, easy drinking stout, if just a little bland/inoffensive.

A decent and fine stout that it is easy to recommend. Opaque black color with fine dense beige head. Chocolate, roasted and some coffee. Medium body and a pleasant carbonation. Ok balance between sweetness and bitterness.
[Bottle from a local grocery store in Troon, Scotland]
