Pours black with ruby edging and a tan head. Strong chocolate aromas, with dark malt and a touch of coffee. Tastes incredibly dark and rich - dark roasted malt, a little burnt, rich coffee flavours and a hint of dark chocolate. A bitter finish, a little fizzy on the palate but very smooth otherwise. Nice, very nice.

Bottle. Black beer, small-ish tan head. Nose is roast, metal, cocoa dust, dark chocolate. Flavor is dry and roasty, dark chocolate, citric hoppy bitterness in the finish along with burned notes. Lingering hoppy roastiness with some mild acidity. Pretty drinkable, not overly interesting, but not bad either.

50cl bottle from Maksimarket, Tartu. Very dark brown with a modest, beige head. Malty and medium roasty aroma with notes of dark fruits, hints of chocolate and caramel. Medium sweet with mild, but fairly pleasant flavours and a light bitterness. Easy to drink and fairly enjoyable.

Very nice aroma of coffee and chocolate. A bit too dry finish with medium bitterness. I like it mostly because of aroma

500ml bottle. Very dark brown, almost black color. Medium size, tan head, stays. Roast, bit of coffee, caramel and malty in aroma. Roast, nettles, faint coffee and some spicy hops in taste. Spicy hops and roast in aftertaste. Soft carbonation. Medium bitterness. Feels macroish.

MartinT (9267) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JUL 21, 2016
My Bottom Line:
Raisins, roasted malts and molasses combine in this flavorful but somewhat anemic example.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A ring of foam surrounds the brown-hued black.
-This lacks body for a Stout.
-The mild bitterness could be more generous to balance out the malt character.
-These malts contribute enjoyable, non-linear flavors.

Bottle.

Mad_Ferret (980) - SWEDEN - JUL 13, 2016
Bottle at Stika, Budapest. Black and clear with brown tints and a brown head. Roasted bitter tarry aroma with chocolate and coffee, dark fruit and slight nail polish. Taste is slight sweet and bitter roasted with caramel and coffee, fudge and vanilla, broken twigs, dark berries. Pretty bitter ashy finish. Medium body, soft carbonation, oily to dry texture. Nice old school british porter. Fairly ashy bitter though.
