Pours black with ruby edging and a tan head. Strong chocolate aromas, with dark malt and a touch of coffee. Tastes incredibly dark and rich - dark roasted malt, a little burnt, rich coffee flavours and a hint of dark chocolate. A bitter finish, a little fizzy on the palate but very smooth otherwise. Nice, very nice.

Chocolate, dark, toasted malts, light filter coffee. Black, small, creamy, beige head. Light sweet. Dark chocolate, more toasted, dark malts, earthy, coffee again, soft carbonation, medium bodied, bitter finish. OK Stout, nothing too exciting though. Botte from Wine Rack, Chiswick.

Pours black with beige medium head. Aroma is nuts, caramel, some hay, milk chocolate, cream, some toast. Taste is bitter, juicy, tropical fruits, some sourness, coffee roast, cocoa, burned bread. Feels firstly fresh and easy/watery, but burned aftertaste lasts forever. Nice beer!

Bottle. The label calls this a Porter. Dark body, small head. Aroma has mild milk chocolate. Sweet mildly roasty taste with medium sweet milk chocolate. Hops feel slightly metallic. Far from being complex or memorable. The main problem is that it’s too thin, otherwise it’s somewhat drinkable. Standard macro stout, not going to dissect it any further.

500 ml. bottle imported from England. Roasty, chocolate and some licorice aroma, not that intense at least in a goblet glass. Black with tan foam, some foam residue (ok for an industrial I’d say). Taste is kind of creamy with light sweetness and medium bitterness, considerably sour. It has a bitter finish that considerably lasts. Nice one!

Dark brown color, almost black with beige creamy foam. Medium head retention with some lacing. Light aroma of toasty malt and chocolate. Also some alcohol and slightly some dms. Flavor toast, roast, chocolate, bread crust, nuts, alcohol (liquor). Citrusy hop character that continuos on in aftertaste with toast and alcohol finishing lightly acid. Medium light body with medium carbonation. Complex taste but alcohol is too strong, and bitter acidic toasty finish is not very pleasant.

It has every bit of bitterness you would expect in this style with a second kick of bitterness in the after taste

Black pour with small beige head. Smell is roasted malts, chocolate, slightly smoked. Light body, softly carbonated with creamy texture. Taste is roasty bitter with slight caramel sweetnes and a few sour notes. Aroma of malts, roasted and caramel, toffee, smoke, slight chocolate and coffee, licorice, forest berries. Finish is medium length, dry and slightly smoked. Nice one. Overall, pretty tasty light stout. Smooth and easy drinking.
