Pours black with ruby edging and a tan head. Strong chocolate aromas, with dark malt and a touch of coffee. Tastes incredibly dark and rich - dark roasted malt, a little burnt, rich coffee flavours and a hint of dark chocolate. A bitter finish, a little fizzy on the palate but very smooth otherwise. Nice, very nice.

500ml bottle at home Poured a deep dark mahogany brown almost black, tan head. Roasted malt and burnt wood notes lead to a taste of roasted chocolate with a sniff of toffee and a burnt ending. not bad.

Láhev 500 ml. Aroma je sladové s nádechem chleba a kávy. Pěna je dozlatova, jemná, vysoká a držící. Barva samotného piva je temně rudá. Chuť je svěží, má lehký šťavnatý nádech ovoce s kávově sladovým podkladem, finiš je středně hořký a držící. V ústech pivo působí plně, má silný říza a je vcelku dobře pitelné.

Not a Bad Attempt by wychwood at stout, as usual an eye catching design, like a pitch black potion, it has a typical stout nose, a little soft but smoky coffee, pours a typical stout liquor, black with a good strong head. In the mouth it feels oddly light for it’s style and ever so slightly sticky and instantly sweet, but not unpleasant, in the taste it is to be expected, strong, malty and lots of Iron, but to a lesser extent, with a slight over burn’t coffee flavour that lingers. It’s finish is rather dry but long enough lasting, this is a good entry level stout for the amateur Stout/porter enthusiast, heavier than most beers in the non stout range, but still very drinkable, if a little too shallow and sweet for the seasoned Guinness drinker.

From a pint bottle thanks to Chris. Pours a clear cola with a thick tan head. Mild malty nose. Flavors of leather and tobacco. Bitter roast finish.

Black brown colour with firm ligth brown head. Aroma of floral washing powder!? Flavour is extremely watery with little malty, roasted barley notes. An average stout.

500ml bottle poured into tulip glass. Very dark with gassy, beige head. Roasted malt aroma. Tastes of darkness although it is a bit thin. Allow to warm up in the glass though and Black Wych comes alive. Licorice and dark, dark fruits to the fore. Slightly bitter finish. Not the best porter I’ve tasted but pretty decent.

Kolor czarny z refleksami, piana beżowa. Zpach palony, czekoladowy, kawa i trochę chmielu, w smaku to samo. Bardzo przyjemne piwo.
