Pours black with ruby edging and a tan head. Strong chocolate aromas, with dark malt and a touch of coffee. Tastes incredibly dark and rich - dark roasted malt, a little burnt, rich coffee flavours and a hint of dark chocolate. A bitter finish, a little fizzy on the palate but very smooth otherwise. Nice, very nice.

Bottle. Black with a small head and medium body. Hasn’t got that usual Wychwood signature flavour and is better for that. Quite pleasant but not one to shout about/

Expected great things due to the dramatic bottle but was let down somewhat. Bottle 500ml. A dark beer, large brown head. Aroma was hardly noticeable. It has a faint bitter taste and is fairly watery for a stout.

Tayeth (205) - North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - JUN 13, 2014
Extrem unausgewogen. Sehr schade!

Geruch nach Röst- und Blaubeeraromen. Im Geschmack dann leicht wässrig. Zum Abschluss kommt die Keule. Absolut unrund. Zu trocken für Porter.
