Traditionally craft brewed in Oxfordshire using organically grown English Barley Malt and Organic Target Hops. Scarecrow is a wonderfully refreshing Golden Ale evoking lazy, hazy days of summer in golden meadows & ripe barleyfields. A winning combination of tart citric fruit flavours perfectly balanced by a rich biscuity maltiness and rounded off with a spicy bittersweet finish.

bottle from the LCBO Pours a medium pale orangey yellow Better then most macro beers but only average overall I think this is a Golden ale and not an ESB

50cl bottle, "Circlemaster". Slightly hazy, pale golden colour, small white head disappears quickly, minimal lacing. Intense aroma of apples and malt, some hops. Hoppy, sour citrus notes and bitterness dominate at first, but the finish is slightly sweet, with a wee touch of banana lurking through. The sour-and-sweet character makes Circlemaster a very refreshing pale ale (a premium esb it is NOT), though Iíd marginally prefer the same companyís WychCraft blonde.

This had a terrible skunky smell, I could really hardly drink it. There was some hoppiness and the bottle art was cool - but the smell was just unbearable. If I have a chance, I may give this another try, it just seems like it should be better!

Pours yellow with thin white head with good lacing. Nose is slightly skunky. The front half of the taste is lost in skunk. The latter half is hoppy and might be pleasant if this beer had not been ruined by ultraviolet light. Sigh.

Bottled. Itís pale yellow with minor white head. The aroma mainly consists of hops. The flavour is sweetish with hops and has a watery after taste.

aka Circle Master. Pours a huge bubbly white foamy head. Appearance is slight dark golden colours. Has thick lacing. Malty aromas as well as some grassy/earthy and floral scents. Pretty faint hops. Flavours are of light roasted malts. Some citrus like flavours as well, more hoppy in taste than aromas. Has a creamy mouthfeel. Smoothness on the palate. Average retention and medium carbonation. Not too bad, easy drinking.

Light copper hue. Some carbonation. Pleasant enough looking head. Mild aroma of yeast, malt, and a little of hops. Reasonably bitter with a bit of malty aftertaste/residue in the mouth. Didn't taste a whole lot different than Fiddler's Elbow to me.

Huh, 19 percentile points? Maybe itís me, but i liked it, certainly after you drank Wieckse Rose. Brown 500ml. bottle. Nice pineapply and peachy hop aromas. Good bitter, hoppy taste with some more fruit and some grainy malt. Ends hopbitter and a little sweet. Nice and drinkable and no skunk in sight!!

Pours a slightly hazy golden colour with a medium sized white head consisting of soapy bubbles that diminishes quickly. Faint hops in the aroma with a bit of corn/vegatable oil. Tastes BORING, and not only does it look soapy, but it tastes soapy, too. It isnít as bitter as it is bitter-sweet, with some light fruity notes. The hops are lemony and grassy and the malty backbone is bready/grainy and weak. At least the body wasnít really thin.
