COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: pasteurised.
Previously sold as Circle Master in the UK.
Traditionally craft brewed in Oxfordshire using organically grown English Barley Malt and Organic Target Hops. Scarecrow is a wonderfully refreshing Golden Ale evoking lazy, hazy days of summer in golden meadows & ripe barleyfields. A winning combination of tart citric fruit flavours perfectly balanced by a rich biscuity maltiness and rounded off with a spicy bittersweet finish.

Aroma: A lot of bread aromas with hints of earthiness and possible resin. Appearance: Clear gold with a light, white head. Taste: Light sweetness backed with a medium sourness. Palate: Full bodied with a creamy texture, soft carbonation and a long finish. Overall: Tastes like a flat import with trumped up flavor. Certainly drinkable, but it’s almost as though they were going for an import lager with double flavor and less carbonation. I’m just not enthused at all.

(Bottle): Pours clear light golden colour with a small white head that was gone in the blink of an eye. Aroma of malt, floral hops and some earth and citrus notes. Practically the same in the taste with a weak bitterness. A little watery and weak, yet quite refreshing.

What can I say here. Golden. Not much head. Tastes a little sweet with some hop bite. I detected some citrus flavor and a little spice on the aftertaste. This is nothing special, but it went well with the shrimp that I had for dinner.

The aroma was thin and malty. The beer poured an orange copper color with hardly any head and lacing. The flavor was light and sweet with a mild maltiness. The mouthfeel was light bodied and creamy.

Golden beer small white head. Non-skunked like the last Wychwood. This one is in a brown instead of a clear bottle like Hobgoblin. I got these beers cause my wife like the bottle labels. The labels are cool looking but the beer is not as good. This one tastes kinda plain. Oh well. Has a decent hop bite and a malty sweetness. Other than that, not much to write home about. Expected more from this bottle.

Lager like gold color. OK head. Smells like the bottle would have gone off. Taste is on sweet side, hoppy and watery. Aroma has got hays.

Crystal clear golden beer with a thin white head. Aroma is citrussy and hoppy with a malty flavour but pherhaps a bit too bitter.

Clear golden color with a quickly disappearing head. Aroma of light malt and honey. Toffee, nuts and a hint of marzipan in the flavor with a firm bitter finish.
