COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: pasteurised.
Previously sold as Circle Master in the UK.
Traditionally craft brewed in Oxfordshire using organically grown English Barley Malt and Organic Target Hops. Scarecrow is a wonderfully refreshing Golden Ale evoking lazy, hazy days of summer in golden meadows & ripe barleyfields. A winning combination of tart citric fruit flavours perfectly balanced by a rich biscuity maltiness and rounded off with a spicy bittersweet finish.

Bottled. Poured a clear golden with almost no head. This smelled JUST LIKE Budweiser, but at least it tasted a little better. A little, that is.

hazy orange golden with a loose disappearing white head. orange aroma. sweet...way too sweet orange flavor....some bitterness.....just kinda bland. finish leaves you with a sweet flat boring orange flavor. light to medium body. seems a bit under carbonated. just boring. there might be something i am missing here but i wont be buying another bottle to try and figure it out.

Aroma: A lot of bread aromas with hints of earthiness and possible resin. Appearance: Clear gold with a light, white head. Taste: Light sweetness backed with a medium sourness. Palate: Full bodied with a creamy texture, soft carbonation and a long finish. Overall: Tastes like a flat import with trumped up flavor. Certainly drinkable, but itís almost as though they were going for an import lager with double flavor and less carbonation. Iím just not enthused at all.

All thatís in the label with a little honey. Citrus, honey rich malt slips into a balanced finish with a hint of spice. Pours a dull yellow.

Serving date: 2009-03-08. Served in pint glass. Best before 2009-09-17. Very hazy. Apricot colored, Rather big, off-white head, medium head retention. Some lacings. Looks quite good. The smell is mostly of sweet malts, some semi-tart fruits (blackberries, some grapefruit), faint notes of tobacco. Noticeable fudge. Pleasant smell. Plenty of caramel malty flavors. Some minerals. Vague sweet fruit flavors (gooseberries, clementine, lemon peel). White bread. Thereís basically no bitterness in this brew. The finish is very short, and uninteresting (restrained malts and some floral hop aromas). The taste is a big disappointment compared to the smell. Plenty of carbonation and too sharp bubbles. Moderate body. Feels pointless in the mouth. This beer is on a steady downhill slope from a very good looks and a pleasant, to a decent taste, boring finish and very dull mouthfeel. This is ok, barely. Serving type: bottle (Copy of old Beer Advocate review)

Amber, flat head, fruity aroma, a bit sour smell. Very light bodied, a bit dry, grassy, Pretty plain jane beer flavor. Iím definitely not doing cartwheels over this one, but also not gaggin or drain pouring.

Shared with MaliMisho. Fairly uninspired and I would have had a hard time equating it with an ESB. For the people who said that this lacks character, I agree.

Bottle: weak malt notes, some grainy notes, some cereal like notes, some butterscotch notes, some rubber like notes, some nasty metalic notes, pretty boring and bland beer, some bitterness in the finish, strong carbonation, quite thin mouthfill. just drinkable.

A golden ale that starts with a rocky head and ends with some lacing. Not much in the way of aromatics. Trace amounts of orange and honey. Unremarkable in its taste. Ho-hum. Wets the palate well. Dry, semi-bitter finish.
