Traditionally craft brewed in Oxfordshire using organically grown English Barley Malt and Organic Target Hops. Scarecrow is a wonderfully refreshing Golden Ale evoking lazy, hazy days of summer in golden meadows & ripe barleyfields. A winning combination of tart citric fruit flavours perfectly balanced by a rich biscuity maltiness and rounded off with a spicy bittersweet finish.

the aroma is malty and fruity with hints of lollipop and flowers... the taste is malty with notes of apples, candy, flowers and some garden berries... sweet and dry aftertaste...

Good slight floral aroma. Slight bitternes but not much flavor all around. Like a plain taste and not much after taste.

Pour to a medium bodied head, but it disappeared quickly. Golden in color. Not a strong smell to it. Not overly tasteful, but a decent beer. A slight more carbonation than other beers of the same style.

Bottle (500ml). Poured a hazy orangey colour with a tinge of brown and a frothy white head which was mostly lasting. Aroma was of butterscotch, caramel, some malts, light vanilla notes and faint grassy hops. Flavor was similar to aroma with smooth caramel, malts, more butterscotch and a light hoppy bitterness. Light to medium bodied with soft carbonation, creamy mouthfeel, watery texture and a decent finish.

Ho hum. Usual Wychwood aroma characteristics (clear bottle?, yeast character? Golden. Obviously has plenty of hops but their aroma is drowned out. Taste of grapefruit and good bitter finish though.

Cold 16.9oz bottle: Pours a clear copper color with a frothy alabaster head that dissipates into a thin layer of bubbles with some lacing. Aroma is of sweet malts, orange, grass and spice. Taste is of sweet malts, light grassy hops, orange and spice. Light to medium body and smooth, with ample carbonation. Ending is of grassy hops and spice.

no head . Had a flowery aroma and a smooth palate very light in colour tasted more like a lager than a beer

Basically just a really good budweiser. All its got goin for it is its light and refreshing character. Sweet malts with a barely noticable hops. I’ll take it over a BMC for sure, but that aint really sayin much.

Aroma: A lot of bread aromas with hints of earthiness and possible resin. Appearance: Clear gold with a light, white head. Taste: Light sweetness backed with a medium sourness. Palate: Full bodied with a creamy texture, soft carbonation and a long finish. Overall: Tastes like a flat import with trumped up flavor. Certainly drinkable, but it’s almost as though they were going for an import lager with double flavor and less carbonation. I’m just not enthused at all.
