Mes_and_Sim (4052), London, Greater London, England Aug 20, 2007 A Mes rate:
Cask at the Hob. Golden brown with a thin white rim. Sweet malty aroma. Very odd minty and metallic flavour with just a hint of citrus. Thin mouthfeel. Slightly acrid in the finish. Not good at all. berkshire_john (1004), Bracknell, Berkshire, England Jul 2, 2007 Cask at the Hobgoblin, Reading, Berks. - labelled as Scarecrow. Hazy gold in colour with an off-white head and a malty aroma; rather thin in body with some citrus; clean and bitter finish. Rather ordinary. imdownthepub (3978), Banbury, Oxfordshire, Oxfordshire, England Mar 19, 2005 Cask Conditioned at The Horse & Jockey, Bodicote, Oxon. Golden beer, a little hazy, white head. The first time this pub has tried a guest ale, I just wish they had picked something more interesting for the regulars to try. One dimensional malty lager type beer, harsh but true.
