duff (5405), Sydney, Australia, Surrey, England Feb 23, 2007 Cask@The Prince Albert, Twickenham. Well, i’m glad i didn’t buy a pint of it. Very bland, and also has no flavours than stick out, industrial flavour to it, which made it 3 out of 3 different beers in this session which were like this. Mes_and_Sim (4360), Highgate, Greater London, England Feb 2, 2007 A Mes rate:
Cask at the Hobgoblin Baker Street. Considering this is a Wychwood pub this is not the best way to show off your skills. That said do they even have any skills? Erm... Fruit, malt, slight hops, bitter finish. A little acrid. Pretty poor. DJMonarch (4091), Northwich, Cheshire, England Mar 23, 2006 Cask Handpump at the Cheshire Ring, Hyde 11/02/2006
Golden amber coloured with slightly sweet honey flavour. Crisp and dry on the palate with some bitterness in a malt finish. imdownthepub (4043), Banbury, Oxfordshire, Oxfordshire, England Feb 6, 2005 Cask Conditioned at The Dun Cow, Hornton, Oxon (Winter Beer Fest 05). Pale Gold with slight head, Gravity poured. Not much to say about this one really, as we were with some members of The Shakespear branch of CAMRA, a word from the Bard perhaps, Much Ado about Nothing. Thin, grassy, orange notes giving a little citrus to a hard malty body. Like the Rugger on the Telly (England lost to the Taffs), largely disappointing. maeib (3958), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England Feb 15, 2008 Cask conditioned - handpump - Far From The Madding Crowd, Oxford. An amber coloured beer with tons of diacetyl throughout. In addition to that there is some boozy fruit, and some sweet caramel and toffee. Boring and short but what do you expect? I believe Hughie is referring to me in his rating.
