2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 ChainGangGuy (4116) - Marietta, Georgia, USA - MAR 9, 2011
16 ounce pint - $6.50 at Taco Mac in Canton, Georgia.
Appearance: Delivered to the table a clear, golden-amber body with just under an inch of white head.
Smell: Wishy-washy aroma of weak malted barley with a thin whiff of their house yeast strain. The hops didn’t bother to show up in the aroma, and I can’t say I blame them.
Taste: Faintly bready malts with a very, very small amount of toffee crisp sweetness. 1-2 drops of apricot juice. Dissatisfyingly watery from the onset. Iota of yeast. Leafy green hop character, albeit minuscule, with very little bitterness. Drying, water-soaked finish.
Mouthfeel: Light-bodied. Medium-low carbonation.
Drinkability: Balls.

14th March 2008 A 1997 bottle at 6.5% abv. Cloudy brown beer. Sweet malty caramel with a lingering sweet aftertaste. Hardly a trace of hop. Has survived well and was quite drinkable.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 imdownthepub (8470) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - JAN 27, 2008
Bottled, 500ml, pasteurised. Had this for quite a while. Gold amber with white head. Full, slightly sweet and cardboardy beer, but with a background spiciness and grainy flavour. The hops have melded into the malt body over time. It’s ok.
4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20 Dolty (15) - SWEDEN - AUG 28, 2006
There seems to have been an older and newer formulation, I reckon, so my rating is an average of the two. As has been noted elsewhere here, the newer version is a wee bit hoppier, and I fancied more the older, slightly sweeter variant. Still, a nice lighter ale, well drinkable under any conditions.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 DonMagi (5598) - bantervile, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - OCT 12, 2005
Aroma is typical wychwood with their sort of burnt soggy cardboard hoppines, but not as bad as usual since a sweetness helps it out. Taste is mainly malty with a nice honey sort of sweetness finish is a nicer type of wychwood hopps which is reasonably wet. Alround a not bad beer not sure if i could session it though.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 leaparsons (7069) - Leicester, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - NOV 6, 2002
Please note - I cannot compare this to real Dogs Bollocks, understood. Anyhoo, This is an average ale that is quite strong and fruity with a dry mouthfeel. Pretty dull, though.

Clean, zippy and refreshing. The sweetness has been reduced, and there is now a hoppy balance to the finish.
