Fresh off his cart is No.4. It’s an unpasteurised shimmering blonde concoction of fruits. Instant refreshment with an insanely fragrant aroma. No.4 is the first of the good DR’s elixirs to emerge from his apothecary. We expect more brews to follow from this enigmatic character.

Ok but not as nice as Wychwood’s Wychcraft, which is similar but better. A little lighter, but don’t see why they made it other than to have a lower blonde ABV.

A very pleasant beer. Not much of an aroma. Initial taste is biscuity and moorish. A lingering bitterness rounds off the beer wonderfully.

Bottle from Tesco, Stockport. Golden-blonde with next to no head. Has a light tasting malt-hop balance with more of the former involved.

Wychwood Dr Thirsty’s No 4 Blonde 2015-01-25. Dark yellow / light orange body, modest white head fades. Aroma is mild, light grassy hops over cereally English pale malt. Moderate bitterness throughout, mild fruity touches over a core that is dominated by cereal grains. Average plus body, modest carbonation. Some nice highlights but the underlying grains clash with otherwise pleasant hop character for me. Bottle from the LCBO, Toronto.

bottle. Poured hazy straw coloured with a filmy white head. Aroma is fresh with citrusy hops. Light body with prickly carbonation and a tart finish. Flavour is mostly grainy malt, some apricot with a faint peppery note.

from Monde des Bières - light hazy blond beer with a little foam left; nice lace; subtle spicy hops and light yeasty; moderate malt body, some earthy bitterness, quite dry and very dusty; light spicy finish - unexciting to say the least

Bottle, 500ml. Pours light golden green, unclear, with a short sparse white head. Aroma is hoppy, yeasty, white wine. Mouth feel is light with medium body and light carbonation. Taste bitter-sweet, slightly sour, with dry lightly bitter ending. Flavors of vegetal and herbal hops, nice and not too aggressive or bitter. Slight malt. A little boring and simple. Very light. Not my favorite style.

Bottle, 500 ml, courtesy of and shared with JFK. Pours golden with white head. Malty and grainy, thin bodied. Seems lagerish to me. Not good.

mkel07 (3878) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - DEC 14, 2014
Bottle from Cellarbrations Sandy Bay 141214. There is a fair amount of fruitiness going on with this beer. A little hazy in the glass. Vibrant easy drinking beer.

Bottle; pours an orangish gold with a thin white and quickly disappearing head; sweet caramel aroma with some faint hops; taste is slightly sweet with yeast, honey, and malt; has a dry bitter citrus finish; okay ale
