While this isn’t quite on par with the best ESB’s out there, It’s far better than the ratings indicate in my opinion. good sweetness, not too malty, a little citrusy... a good esb...

Jul 10, 2008 Bottle. Dark copper beer, thin head. Malty, plums, sugar. caramel. Nice complex stuff that’s still very drinkable.

Jun 29, 2008 A decent ESB. Aroma was a little weak. Mostly caramel malt. Pour was a nice deep dark gold/light brown with a one finger off white head. Taste was mostly caramel malt with decent carbonation and just a hint of earthy hops in the background. Good, not great.

Jun 6, 2008 500ml bottle from the hag we call Steptoe. A gnarled old slag who stinks of piss and owns the only offy near by. The Last Oasis it’s called. Avoid it like the plague. Especially when this is the best they have. Slight tobacco and caramel but a little thin tasting. Not terrible by any stretch, average

Jun 3, 2008 500mL bottle. Pours a clear amber colored body with small white head. Aroma is grassy hops and a hint of caramel. Flavor is some bitter hop... which I guess is expected from a premium bitter. Just not a big fan personally.

May 6, 2008 500ml bottle. Poured a clear medium orange color. The head was off white and reduced relatively quickly to a thin film. A bit of lace was left behind. Interesting aroma of subdued brown sugar, toffee, and some grassy hops. There was also an occasional whiff of copper. Mixed fruit and blunted caramel flavors. Eh.
