Dark burnished copper with an off-white head. A little toffee and orangey hop on the nose. Pretty dry and clean-edged in the mouth. Spicy orange hops on the palate but it certainly promises more on the nose than it delivers. Worth another try. RichJ7 (1175), Cullman, Alabama, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Oct 17, 2006 Not bad. What is it with Wychwood brews? They have this peculier softness ... not bad, mind you. Just different. Pours a cloudy orangish gold with a very thin white head. Subtle malt aroma. Flavor is mildly sweet with a mild hop finish. Actually, mild is a good word for this beer overall. Decent, if uninspiring. Quevillon (1523), Sainte-Thérèse, Quebec, Canada
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 17, 2006 Bouteille de 500 ml. Couleur ambrée claire, mini collet qui disparait vite. Petit arome d’houblon sucré. Goût faiblement amère, peu d’houblon. Buvable mais rien plus. Anglofile (135), Piti, Guam
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Oct 8, 2006 The bottle is awesome and screams for the beer to be consumed as do all the Wychwood bottles. But this beer didn’t live up to expectations. I looks good, smells good, but had a sharply bitter taste from start to finish. Still a good brew. hair-old (137), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 1, 2006 A clear copper color and foamy, quick dissipating beige head with full bodied character and slightly noticeable aroma. Bitter flavor which rolls right off the tongue leaving only a hint of copper aftertaste. Delicious and rich, no overpowering flavors, make this an ideal beer to enjoy on its own or with a light snack. BeerloverEJ21 (131), Georgia, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 1, 2006 I think this is a very underrated beer. On the pour, a thick white head, many bubbles. An opaque dark orangish-brown color, very frothy. Not much of an aroma. It went down smooth and had a pleasant taste. The flavors were very balanced. It was neither overly bitter, nor overly bland. I really dont know why this beer wasnt ranked higher, but I guess its all about personal taste. Diogène (548), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 21, 2006 Bottle from LCBO. Clear copper, mediium white head that vanishes quickly. Aroma is malt, varamel and flowery/herbal hops. Taste is malty, with notes of caramel and a bitter aftertaste. Well balanced, medium body.
