| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Sep 9, 2006 Pour is a amber with a white head. Aroma is caramel malts with some dark fruits. Flavor is medicinal with some plum and citrus. Nothing really stands out and it leaves a sour taste in the mouth. Just so-so good enough for a rating. TheJester (702), Peterborough, Ontario, Canada
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 7, 2006 500 mL bottle. A bit of sticky off-white head. Scent is mostly citrus, with a bit of grain and skunk. (I’ve opened these before and gotten a lot of skunk. Did this previously come in a clear bottle?) Coppery red in colour. Slick mouthfeel. Citrus remains along with some malt in the flavour. Bitter finish gets spicier as it warms. Very crisp. Good beer. jason (1621), Easton, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Sep 7, 2006 bottle. Pours a decent head with a small cirtus smell with a slight hoppy scent. Not as bitter as expected but pretty well balanced. Smooth. DarkElf (2681), La Jolla, California, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Aug 31, 2006 (500 ml bottle: $3.69 at Holiday Wine Cellar in Escondido, CA) Nutty, lightly sweet and fruity, and toasty malt base is nicely balanced by a mildly bitter, classically English hops flavor. Just a light touch of smokiness evolves on the back end. Grainy, fruity and slightly nutty nose. Medium bodied, lightly carbonated, soft and easy on the palate. Orange-amber color and fairly cloudy from fine, barely visible sediment. The creamy, off-white head has a nice initial burst on the pour, rising to nearly an inch before slowly settling to a thin but full layer, leaving a few small sheets of lace clinging to the glass. Not a beer that is brimming with flavor or all that interesting to me, but it has a pleasant flavor and is pretty easy to drink. And it’s finally in a brown bottle! Yeggo (37), USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 31, 2006 Wife and I agreed, not much of an aroma at all, but a pretty looking beer nonetheless. Not sure why the low rating, I liked the flavor quite a bit. Dana picked up an aftertaste, I did not. Thin to medium mouthfeel, again which I like. Rune (2787), Tromsø, Norway
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 20, 2006 Golden body with nice bubbles and some foam. Sweet fruity aroma. The flavour is also dominated by hoppy fruitiness wtih some notes of sweet, dark malts. Crispated. Not bad, but very standard (Sampled at Tromsø Ølfestival 17.08.2006). theshocker (329), Marietta, Georgia, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Aug 18, 2006 Hazy, light tan with a big white head that fades quickly. Fruity aroma, with hints of lemongrass, a touch spicey. Flavor is a tart, a little sour. Thin body. More lemon, pineapple, sweet-tart. Aftertase lingers and turns unpleasant. Not horrible, but not the best ESB. Numenor (869), Richmond, Virginia, USA
